Intralipids / miscarriages

Hi ! Does anyone know of positive evidence for intralipids in relation to helping avoid miscarriage/ and helping implantation? I’ve had two miscarriages and my doc said not enough evidence re intralipids but they do them at the lister hospital which has a great reputation. Just found out my NK cells are slightly raised so doc will put me on low dose of steroids from Monday 😞 3 weeks into IVF atm and unsure whether to do intralipids or not. Any factual/ medical advice from all you knowledgeable ladies would be most appreciated! Sending u all love xxx

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages, this journey is so crisp and hard. I can't say I'm very knowledgeable on the subject but can just go on personal experience. I Had an intralipid IV before our 2nd Fet. It seemed to have helped as I actually became pregnant this time (first fet was a bfn) but sadly it resulted in an early chemical. There are lots of positive results and stories out there on the benefits of having intralipids. It all depends on how much your clinic believes and gets behind the immune system having an impact on implantation. Our clinic believe it has a major impact on fertility and has its own designated immunologist but some clinics don't believe in it at all. Have a look at the Dr Braverman website his knowledge on this subject is staggering! All the best to you xxx

I don’t believe there is any evidence to back it up. But I have had five miscarriages and we had it for our last 5th ivf in cyprus and I’m currently 15 weeks. So who knows but glad we had it as there were no side effects xx good luck

Congratulations on your pregnancy. There may not be sufficient scientific evidence but I'd say your successful pregnancy after having intralipids is evidence enough :-)
