Hi everyone, I’m about to start my next FET cycle.
After repeated implantation failures I had all the tests (EMMA ALICE ERA and NKC) I have natural killer cells so they want to put me on steroids and the Intralipids. I know all this is considered a bit experimental by HFEA and it’s on their red/ grey list but willing to give anything a try and have heard some success stories after steroids.
I already take baby aspirin and heparin during the TWW due to antiphospholipid antibodies.
Has anyone else had success after steroids and Intralipids? Or did you just have one and it made the difference? I’m wondering whether to just have the steroids. The Intralipids are so expensive!
Would love to hear from people with experience of steroids and/ or Intralipids.
Thanks so much 🙏🏼💗

Hey, I have recurrent implantation failure and took steroids the last few rounds but it didn’t make a difference for me I’m afraid. I hope you get some more positive experiences.x
Hi yes my daughter took steroids and intralupids amoungst other things and is now 5 months pregnant. The only thing I would say is consider the cost of ongoing intralupids as with her she is having them every 3 weeks, and having another consultation with her specialist in a few weeks for him to advise wether she has to continue with them or not x
Also she has had her blood results back and her iron levels etc are really good, and although she is taking supplements I’m sure the intrulids have helped x
My clinic havnt gone the Intralipids route with me and I have never asked but I intend to ask at my review apt next week. It’s worth a go if your clinic advises.
Worth asking your dr/clinic about side effects. My last three FETs have been with steroids my last dose was higher and I had steroid induced diabetes so worth asking lots of questions.
Hi Tir, thank you so much for your reply. Really appreciate the information. Would it be ok to ask what dose of Prednisolone they had you on and how long for?
to be honest, I’ve no idea if 10mg is standard or not, IVF is such a cocktail of drugs!. My clinic said my protocol is working and are not suggesting anything further 🤷♀️
