4th embryo transfer!!

Musiclover7777777 profile image

omg I can’t even believe I’ve done this, but I was due to start my cyclogest pessaries on Monday for my transfer on Friday and I completely forgot to start taking my pessaries until today ( Thursday ). I have never ever forgotten to take them before, so I’m totally kicking myself and panicking!!! I think my head has just been all over the place. Has anyone ever done this and it’s turned out okay??

is this a medicated cycle? Or a natural FET? If it’s medicated cycle then it’s very important as to exact timing of when you start and I’m sorry but you need to speak to your clinic about timing and whether can go ahead.

If you’ve ovulated in a natural FET cycle it’s less crucial and is there more to boost your own progesterone.

I’m doing a modified natural FET cycle, so I’m hoping it will all be okay. I have been told that my body does produce enough hormones

That’s good news! Obviously let your clinic know but in a modified natural when you’re making your own progesterone. Best of luck

Aww phew that makes me feel better, my lining etc was all good when I was scanned last week so should be okay🤞🏻

sorry to say but how long you are taking the Cyclogest for before transfer is really important- you must tell the clinic as they might have to alter when your transfer is. It’s the timing of the progesterone that is the important part - I found that out when I did the ERA biopsy. I had 4 failed transfers all on day 6 of progesterone/cyclogest. The ERA biopsy found this wasn’t long enough on the progesterone to get my lining ‘receptive’ so I had to have a day 7 transfer. Not only that, it had to be exactly 30 hours etc progesterone and they timed it to the minute. That transfer worked and I now have a daughter! So you see it really is about the progesterone timing - it’s so important. Hopefully they can move your transfer rather than cancel x
