buserelin shortage

hi everyone ,

Am back again after deciding to do our third collection .

We are going for the long protocol again but our doctor has advised there is a shortage of buserelin so we can either wait for that ( they can’t advise when this will be ) or we have been offered prostap .

They have said this is a one off injection but am worried as have never had this before .

Anyone used this before ?

My clinic had me take Prostap recently due to the Buseralin shortage. I had to take it on Day 21 of the previous cycle x

I was in the same boat in Jan, switched to Prostap instead of Bruserelin. It was my first cycle so nothing to compare it to, but I didn’t have any issues with it. In some ways taking one injection is better than daily. I get a sense the shortage is here to stay, so you could be waiting a while to start.

I had this exact decision to make in December. I was nervous as I hadnt used it before but I really didn’t want it wait. It was the best thing I did, worked brilliantly for me. If I need future cycles I will definitely request to have it xx
