Painkillers and Buserelin

Hi ladies

Maybe a silly question - am day 6 into Buserelin injections and have had a splitting headache for the last 2 days

Can I take any painkillers? Am worried I'll effect how the drugs will work if I take extra meds.

Paracetamol is fine but I would check with your clinic about taking anything else. Ibuprofen is a no when pregnant but they may say it’s fine at this stage. Hope it clears soon-headaches are the worst xx

Paracetamol is apparently fine but I tried to avoid it. No idea why I just felt like I should 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 I used the 4head stick and it worked really well so might be worth having a look at that x

It’s safe to take paracetamol when on IVF meds headaches can be a side effect of the meds so clinics usually suggest to drink 2-3 litres of water everyday to alleviate any side effects. Hope this helps! x

Ibuprofen can affect lining so my clinic say to avoid it during stims and after egg collection etc but paracetamol fine and lots of water 🤗 I always get headaches on stims it’s rubbish 😥 hope it gets better really soon xx

I also had killer headaches on this. Paracetamol and codeine us th4 only thing you're allowed. I found forehead stick helped and so did lying in a hot bath with head under water or standing under a hit shower. Thankfully once you get the next drugs it subsides....hang on in there till then.xx
