Aggghhh...day 11 of buserelin... 😖

Thought it was all going a bit too well...having reached day 11 of buserelin injections for medicated FET with not too many side effects, they’ve well and truly decided to kick in...hot flushes, then shivering...feeling absolutely knackered...totally emotional (when there is nothing remotely wrong)...and bleeding like never before (sorry - TMI)!!

The things we put ourselves through hey?! Just got to hold on to the hope of that rainbow baby 🌈💕😊

Hi Caza2009. Oh you poor love! Buserelin has a lot to answer to. Hopefully you're not on it for too much longer. Hope all goes a little easier with the rest of the cycle. Diane

Hi Caza

I know exactly what you mean I felt like I was dying on Wednesday and Thursday with my AF arriving following 50IU of buserelin for 14 days! Now taking progynova and 20iu buserelin which last time was hell but feel ok today.

Looks like we are very close on our FET journey's good luck keep in touch! xxx

I have my scan on tues and then I should start oestrogen patches (whilst still on buserelin) - and then ET prob 2 weeks after that. When will your ET?

Glad you’re feeling better today - I’m hoping tomorrow won’t be as bad for me...a girl can hope anyway... haha! 🤞🏼xx

Hi,

My clinic must do things differently to yours. Just waiting for them to get back to me regarding when my scan is which will prob be a couple of weeks giving the oestrogen (progynova tablets) some time to get lining ready.

Then start the lovely pessaries and about a week later for transfer (this is going on what happen last time) so end on Aug beginning on Sept so scary but so exciting too.

Good luck I am sure when you start the oestrogen you will start to feel a bit better. xxx

Ahh - so I’m going to be on patches (rather than tablets) and then start the lovely pessaries before transfer too!

I’m trying to stay excited & positive - fingers crossed for both of us 🤞🏼let me know how you get on xxxx

Hey Hun I'm 3weeks in with Buserelin ahead of fet. I know what you mean with the hot sweats and tiredness, it's been raining here today so I've been enjoying it not being so hot at work. Good luck with your fet xx

At the moment I'm booked in for 30th August, all depends on my lining thickness scan on 24th. I reduce buserelin tomorrow and start tablets and patches. Xx

Hey, I feel your pain lovely. Buserelin has been awful for me, completely wiped me out. Started menopur yesterday (alongside the buserelin) and starting to feel a bit better - actually had a good nights sleep which makes such a difference. The only thing about menopur is the bloat - and the seriously tricky/faffy mixing injections!

What’s the next phase for you?

Keep drinking water and hopefully the side effects will fudge off soon. Take care lovely xxx

Hey, glad you’re feeling a bit better now you’ve started menopur.

I have a scan on tues & then should start oestrogen patches (all being well) - 2 weeks of those whilst continuing buserelin until I’m told to start pessaries. Guessing ET will be end of month/beginning of sept.

When will your ET be? Xxxx

Nurses estimate w/c 20 August for egg collection and then transfer 5 days from there.. fresh cycle so hoping there is something to transfer.

I have a scan next Friday morning to see how the menopur is going down and should know a bit more by then I think..

So bloated right now, I look like I’ve swallowed a small country xxx

How are you getting on with the pessiries? That bit sounds worse than the injections! Xxx

I’m bloated too - although nowhere near as bad when I was stimming so I know exactly how you feel!

I won’t start on pessaries until I’m told to stop buserelin (so prob a couple of weeks yet) - not sure how I’m going to get on with them yet! Haha. Am hoping they won’t be too bad...but we just have to take it one day at a time on this crazy journey!!
