I need answers - but what questions should I ask

If you've read my previous post you'll have seen I've had a wild couple of months with a failed fet and surprise natural chemical.

So after 6 years of zero implantation, 2 failed cycles with 3 embryos (2x3 day and 1x5 day blast) and now a chemical - it can't just be bad luck surely?

I realise I'm older now and my eggs won't be as good but I've an amh of 16.7, I'm making blasts (although the best was a 3bb) and something should have stuck in the last 6 years!

Do I need the recurrent implantation failure tests, immune tests, is it undiagnosed endo? I've not had any laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, hycosy, saline scan etc. There are just too many options and combinations of issues that I don't know where to start.

Does my recent fet have anything to do with my first positive test? Were my hormones different due to the oestrogen and progestogen?

Coincidentally I happen to have my review appt after my failed FET from last month on Friday so I can now include the recent chemical as another exhibit for my Dr.

So help me if he just says its bad eggs and doesn't want to test or change anything!

I need your wise counsel.......what should I focus on? I've two frosties left but they are lower grade than 3bb, i don't know exactly their grading. Should I do another collection or am I wasting my time and is donor better?

Thank you so much everyone. Thanks for all the support on my recent posts. My heart is 💔

I'm 💔 for you too. After read your post I am shaking as I am 43 and AHM 14.6 pmol, I am going to start my first round of ivf and all my life I never got pregnant and all my Fertility exams investigation come back normal or good. Then I tell myself everyday that its will happen when God wants, if HE doesn't want it for me HE will not give me, so I am waiting for his blessings.

Sorry 😞 I am sad, I am upset for you 😢 it's a broken 💔 😢

Wishing you so much luck and baby dust xx

Hey lovely. There are so many good experiences on this forum and I am sure people will share them but my main advice is ignore AMH, I was so cocky mine was so high (17) at 43 but it doesn’t reflect egg quality and that’s what screwed me. I would speak to your clinic about how your embryos develop and what their thoughts are. Heaps of luck xx

Totally hear what you're saying. But surely when I was 36/37 my quality would have been better and something would have stuck? I dunno thats just my logic lol

I did speak to the embryologist when my blasts were developing and I asked about their quality and my egg quality and he seemed pleased. They do time-lapse pics so perhaps it's time to delve into that a bit more?!

All things you mention are worth asking. Maybe asking at the review as much information as possible about the embryo development and quality is a good start. it's also worth looking into uterine factors (hysteroscopy) and laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis and fallopian tubes. I had a laparoscopy for both at the same time endometriosis investigation and dye test. Also asking about investigating the sperm parameters more. All the best!

Sadly I think it can be coincidental. I miscarried my first pregnancy also surprise natural. Apparently you’re far more likely to miscarry a first pregnancy than any other. The rates are 1 in 4 pregnancies will be miscarried and for every woman in the world the rate is 1 in 5 of her pregnancies would end. I had that miscarriage then a failed meditated FET - I then had a naturally modified FET that resulted in my DD. So it’s definitely a numbers game. I’d say go for the next round. Now your body has been pregnant you might find it’s kicked into action

Thank you babe that's helpful. When you say next round do you mean transfer one of my frosties or do another collection? X

Well, I can’t make that decision for you, but I thought maybe another collection. They might be able to do a slower protocol to allow the best eggs to grow at a slower rate?

Funny that was my thinking too. Something milder and concentrate on a few eggs. Thank you lovely xx
