7 is causing me to gag and choke w so much mucas.. stringy too. any one else take this or the 3.5? Which is better and how long do you nebulize w the 7?

I appreciate mixing with saline could be a step too far for UK surgeries - perhaps it could be modified ? - providing regular treatment for all...

So I’ve just bought an Omcrom nebuliser and saline solution to see if it helps. I have tried in just once; it took some time to use up the 2ml of saline and I had to stop a couple of times as it made me cough. My nose felt a bit stuffed up afterwards.

Hi everyone The ENT consultant has put me on gaviscon advance incase of silent reflux and sterimar saline nasal spray for the sinuses This is because of my voice problems as they might be irritating the vocal cords.

On researching I’ve read that saline hypertonic 7% is much more effective. I just wanted to know what others are using and whether I should suggest an upgrade when I next see my resp consultant. Thank you everyone as always Jo xx

He is only using saline nose drops now because the stronger ones were giving him nose bleeds. He can sleep in a recliner but not the bed. Lying down make him feel like he is struggling g to breathe even with cpap on. Does meth and/or the Xanax create excess nasal congestion?

Subsequently I’ve got myself a nebuliser for saline and other fluids with the view to helping me get rid of the ever increasing amounts of very sticky phlegm. It works well and does help but the saline solution burns if I use it too often.

I gather they can be attached to a nebuliser; I use an Omcron for 3% saline. I don’t want to spend lots of time every day sucking on a plastic mouthpiece but I do need to shift the gunk in my lungs and steer clear of infections. Can anyone recommend this device? Thanks

Took my reliever and came down stairs and went on my mini nebulizer with just saline. This helped but it scared me. I have been very inactive recently due to other health problems and get out of breath sometimes.

When in Scotland the winter before last I inquired in a post here about a Saline Solution IV. The how not to heal and why crowd went berserk. In the USA we have drip bars where one can purchase a Saline Solution IV. The cost is around $100.00 USD.

Hi, can anyone recommend a good nebulizer to help clear the phlegm in my throat using a saline solution as I have Bronchiectasis and am finding it very difficult to shift. I am on carbosistine and also is the huffing method. Any advice would be very much appreciated

I haven’t been using my nebuliser as everything is too much effort right now, and I didn’t know if saline inhalation might affect my throat, which is better than it was. Is there anything I should be doing to help my recovery? And when can I expect the doxycycline to work?

I use a nebuliser 2x daily with saline Using the battery operated one I cough and cough afterward for about 30 minutes s no change in medication so is this to be expected using a different nebuliser?

After trying endless saline flushes, steroidal nasal spays, valsalva maneuver and many ear pooping methods, today I found hope. (Right ear for me had the micro suction.)

Lucky cos there is world shortage of iron and saline. Let’s hope that builds up my iron levels and general energy and sence of wellbeing, What a roller coaster we hv to ride with thyroid issues.

Hi everyone, my Respiratory Consultant has suggested I try nebulising with saline to help clear my chest and hopefully reduce the problem of mucus plugging which then impacts my breathing obviously. I’ve bought the nebuliser and have the saline on prescription.

When I have a really bad flare up, after about ten bowel movements, bile in my stomach goes up my oesophagus and I can’t stop vomiting bile until I’m put on a saline drip for dehydration. All advice greatly appreciated.

I HAVE TONS of mucas all the time tho use saline neb and oscillating vest twice a day. adjustable bed but mucas still drains what is the best diet for this illness\?

Pre-meds of saline and other good stuff is pumped into my Hickman line. At 11.30 nurses arrived with a bag of cells with my name on it!
