Saline

I had a saline scan on Friday where I understood they put a balloon in and then some saline. I was on day 7 of my cycle and have been spotting since then ( today is Sunday). Anyone else had a saline scan and did you spot afterwards?

It takes ages for the saline to completely dissolve the powder, and in spite of gently rolling, not shaking, the bottle, it still gets frothy when nebulising. Any advice please? 😊

He’s got a feeding tube in as he can’t eat and a saline drip. He’s had several antibiotics. Does anyone have knowledge or knows someone who has got well enough to have a transplant? The consultant says he’s too ill to get a transplant but without one he won’t survive

I am 75, have been nebulising salbutamol and saline for over a year now, and see a change in the colour of my teeth from pretty ok to distinctly yellowish. My dentist, whom I see every six months, says that the rate of decay is accelerating.

I find different number depending on logic for dose equivalent, roughly x 12 for mouse / 70kg equivalent human, which would be roughly 24g on 100g saline if I am not mistaken. Then making sure the nose spray delivers approximately 10ul per pump. Does that make sense ?

Has anyone else experienced this feeling inside of the ear or had success with saline rinse or mucus issues? I am prone to allergies and whenever I exercise or shower there is usually 'healthy' mucus but there is always mucus. Thanks!

I appreciate mixing with saline could be a step too far for UK surgeries - perhaps it could be modified ? - providing regular treatment for all...

7 is causing me to gag and choke w so much mucas.. stringy too. any one else take this or the 3.5? Which is better and how long do you nebulize w the 7?

I take Carbocisteine, Montelukast, Fostair inhaler and nebulise with salbutamol and saline. My breathing exercises give little relief and I have tried a flutter device.

He is only using saline nose drops now because the stronger ones were giving him nose bleeds. He can sleep in a recliner but not the bed. Lying down make him feel like he is struggling g to breathe even with cpap on. Does meth and/or the Xanax create excess nasal congestion?

Hi everyone The ENT consultant has put me on gaviscon advance incase of silent reflux and sterimar saline nasal spray for the sinuses This is because of my voice problems as they might be irritating the vocal cords.

I had a saline nasal spray but its now out of date ( well it's been opened longer than 30 days basically) so can't use. I'm tempted to 2 get some relief up nose. What are your symptoms and what relieves yours ? Is there an actual blood test to test for sjogren's? Many thanks 😊

I gather they can be attached to a nebuliser; I use an Omcron for 3% saline. I don’t want to spend lots of time every day sucking on a plastic mouthpiece but I do need to shift the gunk in my lungs and steer clear of infections. Can anyone recommend this device? Thanks

So I’ve just bought an Omcrom nebuliser and saline solution to see if it helps. I have tried in just once; it took some time to use up the 2ml of saline and I had to stop a couple of times as it made me cough. My nose felt a bit stuffed up afterwards.

He prescribed Fostair 200/6 on a MART regime (I know it is not recommended but he was OK with this) and Nacsys Recently went on to Azithromycin 3 times a week and 3% saline nebulizer twice a day.

Recently went on to Azithromycin 3 times a week and 3% saline nebulizer twice a day. My last visit he said that the diagnosis is now Yellow nail syndrome with interstitial oedema and mild bronchiectasis and he prescribed Oramorph for the cough.

Subsequently I’ve got myself a nebuliser for saline and other fluids with the view to helping me get rid of the ever increasing amounts of very sticky phlegm. It works well and does help but the saline solution burns if I use it too often.

I haven’t been using my nebuliser as everything is too much effort right now, and I didn’t know if saline inhalation might affect my throat, which is better than it was. Is there anything I should be doing to help my recovery? And when can I expect the doxycycline to work?

Took my reliever and came down stairs and went on my mini nebulizer with just saline. This helped but it scared me. I have been very inactive recently due to other health problems and get out of breath sometimes.
