Progesterone levels after FET

Hi everyone!

I’ve found a lot of valuable information on progesterone levels on this forum but I still wanted to ask you for your opinion on my situation.

My clinic checks the levels on the day of ET and adjusts the dose if needed.

I took 800 mg of cyclogest (400 x 2 12 hours apart) as per my ERA test but my levels were low and doctor told me to add one shot of Prolutex (subcutaneous injection).

I am 14dp5dt and I measured my beta HCG - it’s 1700 but progesterone is 43 nmol/l (or around 13 ng/ml).

From what I read this is too low. I asked my dr if I should increase the dosage but he said to continue the same. I am a bit worried as I have a history of thin lining. My endometrial lining was 4,6 mm on ET day. I am afraid with low progesterone embryo is not getting what it needs. At the same time I don’t feel comfortable to increase the dosage myself (I already decided to continue with prednisone even though my doctor told me to stop after beta test). Not sure what to do.

Just looking for your views and some encouragement as this forum has been a lifeline for me. 💙

Trust your clinic as they know your history and have built your treatment protocol round itThinking of you

Hi lovely, if they transferred at 4.6mm knowing you had a history of thin linings - AND you already got a positive (congratulations) they probably know what they are doing.I would trust your clinic. My clinic likes progesterone levels to be over 50nmol and 43 is not far off - so they must think it's ok.

I do think though (and my clinic have said the same) that you can't really have too much progesterone - but it being too low can be an issue.

Much love xxx

Thank you for the encouragement! I just wish I don’t have to think about all these things. At the same time, if I didn’t read about these things I would have never found my doctor nor would I have suggested to him all experimental treatments under the sky :) I will measure P4 on Friday again, if it falls, I will talk to my doctor again.
