A little late in announcing but we were thrilled to welcome our wonderful baby boy to the world on 25th May.
This completes our family as we also have a little 23 month old daughter also through IVF and immune therapy.
Will try to explain to them both how our son is actually older then our daughter as his embryo was created first and frozen!
I also had my much wanted VBAC following a c section and I was 44 when he arrived, turning 45 3 weeks later.
I hope this gives some over 40’s hope. I feel incredibly lucky and honestly don’t think I’d be here without all of your wonderful help and support. A friend once said to me ^you will have your family, you just don’t know when and how yet* and I always kept that in mind…
Wishing everyone SO much luck. 5 years ago when we started trying for a baby I didn’t realise the journey we would be on.
Wr have 2 frozen embryos and have decided not to do any more transfers. My clinic won’t donate embryos to another couple because of my age - so if anyone is aware of a clinic who does I would be grateful for details.

Congrats to you on completing your wonderful family.It's certainly inspirational and gives me some hope as I turn 44 on Saturday and am feeling my age for the first time in all this process.
Our first FET (pgt tested) after 3 cycles failed last week and it's not been easy. Hopefully I can have similar success as you before too long x
Ah huge congratulations to you and your little family. This is so lovely to read and I am taking some hope from it as I do from so many brave ladies on here. I am 44 and currently 5 weeks 5days, anxiously awaiting scan next week, if ever positive stories are needed it’s now, so thank you for sharing.
Ah amazing, congratulations! I know this period of time waiting for the scan is horrendous but hang in there! My medical team were really positive, hardly mentioned my age and my birth was amazing in the end… (Had a balloon induction at 40 wks 6 days) Good luck with everything. Xx
congratulations on your new baby and thank you for sharing as In just over 10 days I’ll be off for my scan to check all is well for my final implant attempt and hoping our good quality blastocyst will stick. It’s Reassuring to read of successes over 40 as I’m 48 and this is realistically our last attempt. Enjoy being a mum and hoping I can share a similar post next year xx
Massive congratulations! I love reading the stories of success and especially if those older mamas like me! I am 48 and 16 weeks with my first successful pregnancy 💖 I was a little concerned - although totally don’t really give a flying f… about reactions to being pregnant (finally) at my age but all I’ve had is lots lovely congratulations.
A VBAC is a vaginal birth after a c section… I think egg wise I always got between 8-9 and then I froze 3 embryos and transferred 2 on my last two collections. Good luck. Xx

Huge congratulations! This is amazing news! You have given me hope and encouragement to keep going. I am 42 in a few weeks time. I've had to give up on my eggs sadly. Have my first donor egg round in less than 2 weeks time and praying to get to embryo transfer stage! 🙏 Enjoy your beautiful little baby. ❤️ x
Thank you! And lot of luck for your donor round… I’m sure you will be successful! However if you want further advice on eggs / reoccurent miscarriages I would definitely recommend the CRP clinic in Epsom. I don’t think I’d be at this stage without them! Xx
