Hi all I hope your all well.

So firstly I had my baby boy on the 9/8/19 baby Edward weighing 7lb 1. Im so over joyed and in love. I just find myself watching him all day. He was my second attempt of ivf. One egg made it to blastocyst out of 16 eggs. First cycle I had seven eggs but none made it to day three. Then second cycle I had nine eggs and only one made it to a day five blastocyst. One being Edward. So I’m truly grateful for him.

I’m hoping to try again in August next year.

So my question is does anyone know any sites that do DHEA and it actually work? My egg count and quality is so poor. I don’t want to waste my only chance I’m going to get of trying for my next baby. I want to be able to tick all the boxes knowing I tried everything to boost my chances.

If anyone can help with advice or direction I will be truly grateful. Xx

That’s ok hun. Thank you 💙

If I’m honest I do love having three boys now. But I’m happy with any sex as long as they are healthy. I’m scared to have a girl xx

Hi Kelz! After 3 failed IUIs the doctor diagnosed low testosterone levels so I was prescribed DHEA. I dont know if it's good for quality and count (my AMH is good for my age) but the number shot up and I'm now pregnant. However I did do IVF this time round. If I knew what I knew then I would have asked them to test my testosterone levels sooner. I would definitely recommend it. However the doctor did monitor levels so I suspect too much can be counter productive. Best of luck!

I bought micronised DHEA from I pump shop website in the states. Apparently being micronised is important. I got my BFP from the 3rd cycle I used it on x

The most common place people in the UK buy it from online is Biovea. Be mindful that as DHEA in not licenced in the UK all DHEA comes from the US or Asia. Biovea comes from the US. The occasional person does get theirs confiscated at customs, but for most people it arrives fine. I got a friend visiting the US to buy mine for me, I got the regular non-micronised form 25mg tablets.

Hi, an alternative is Eurovital. I started taking DHEA in 2016 and I became pregnant but now we are trying IVF if it clear that my eggs and the quality of them is lesser. I'm still taking DHEA but I have no way of knowing whether it is helping or whether it can't turn the tide with ageing eggs!!! I'm 42 and I'm taking 100mg per day. As you have recently been doing IVF I would say there would be a clearer link if you start taking it asap before your next attempt. This might be useful for you if you haven't already seen it: centerforhumanreprod.com/se...

Congratulations on your first baby! :-)

Thank you hun. I will have a read. I have two babies naturally and my third was through icsi as my new partner of ten years had cancer when he was 18. We are both 35 x

I get mine from iherb.com. No issues. I get the micronized ones. I’m hoping it will help my quality too but won’t know until my cycle end of October. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

make sure you get micronized DHEA - it is better absorbed. I took it for 3 months before my successful transfer (well, im almost 11 weeks, so not out of the woods yet) and i think it was one of the things that helped with egg quality. Also early retrieval - when the lead follicle is between 16 and 18mm has been shown to improve egg quality in older women. How old are you?

Thank you hun. I’m 35 and have to go through icsi as my partner had cancer and his Sperm is frozen. I have two older sons and my third was conceived through icsi. I was told last year on our first cycle that my egg count is low. I also suffer from endometriosis. Our first cycle failed, we only got seven eggs and none made it passed day 3. Second cycle I had only 9 eggs and only one made it to the blastocyst stage day five and was a 4aa quality blastocyst. So my eggs are really poor. I wanna at least try and improve my egg count before I try again. X
