This is a never ending struggle. (So sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give you lots of info to help)
History:
Just turned 40
Stage 4 endometriosis latest lap Nov 2019
Conceived naturally and miscarried at 7.2 weeks
Lots of chemical losses
Lots of negatives
Started IVF last October
1st cycle got cancelled due to poor response
2nd cycle got 7 embryos 6 fertilised to day 5 1 good quality embryo was put back in and I got a bfn
Only 4 made it to the freezer (as I call it)
End of august I did a fet with a double embryo transfer and I finally got my bfp no symptoms during 2ww so was in shock
Started to get nauseated a lot and felt my boobs to be tender
Currently on estradiol, progesterone, vit d, pregnacare max and baby aspirin.
Hcg hit the roof :
10dpt (test day) = 643
17dpt (week after bfp) = 14653
24dpt (yesterday’s test) = 85068
All good until Friday I felt some blood on my pantry liner, called clinic and they told me to rest. So I told work and just literally had bed rest. Blood from morning soon after went brown and lessened by weekend. Yesterday went to get a blood test as they can’t scan me just yet until next Wednesday. All looked great until I bled the same amount ( half a panty liner) in red last night. Been resting since and it seems to have stopped probably because I am not standing up too much. Feel a little crampy but really mild. No clots. Waiting for doctor to call for a sicknote and general advice as the clinic said they won’t see me until next Wednesday as no point due to nothing being detected although my app says I am 6.3 weeks today. I don’t know if I am imagining but my nausea has stopped and I’m just crying for help, is there anyone who shares my history and symptoms and got a successful result or know what it could be? Literally going out of my mind now and just want to know.
Thank you 🙏

Hi MagicSparkIt is very common to bleed from a an fet. I had a very similar experience. I started spotting about 5.5 weeks and then I had a bleed a couple of days later and was convinced it was all over. I continued to spot up until about 7.5 weeks with mild cramps and backache, had my viability scan and all was ok. My nurses reassured me that it is very common with a frozen transfer, I literally had no symptoms also. It is such a rollercoaster this ride 🤦♀️ I am now 30+5 weeks. Stay positive 😉 x
Hey Hun. Thanks for this. I needed to hear this. I never knew this is common with Fet. My clinic are so vague in telling me anything. Aw congratulations to you. Not long to go. Hope you are putting your feet up as much as possible. Good luck. Xx
I had a bleed at 6weeks 2 days I was very scared because I had 3 miscarriages before that I did an ultrasound the next day and everything was fine baby had a strong heart beat I was then given extra injections to be taken everyday and on bed rest for about 20weeks my daughter will be 3 in November. Please call your clinic again and again to get an ultrasound so u can know what is going on try to stay on bed rest. Good luck
Thank you for reaching out. Did they say why you bled? It’s the worst feeling especially when you experience losses in the past. Congratulations on your daughter. That is great news. What injections were you on? I called my clinic they said they can’t scan me until Wednesday as they probably won’t find anything and il apparently be worried if the sac is empty. Which I really thought you could hear heartbeat at 6 weeks onwards. Did you get signed off for 20 weeks? Wow that is a long time. I’m stressing up this week with work. Which I know doesn’t help! Thanks you fingers crossed. Xx
I’m in a similar boat except my hcg on OTD was rly low so I’ve had miscarriage on the brain ever since. I’m 6w1d today after a fresh transfer and also just had some red bleeding and light cramping, which I had (red/brown/clear mucus discharge) from day 12 till about day 17 post transfer (last week), after which it stopped.
I got a private scan yesterday and saw a heartbeat, yolk sac etc - for me I feel better with closer monitoring as even if it doesn’t change the outcome, it helps me to understand what’s happened partly to gear up for the next transfer! Maybe something to consider?
Fingers crossed your bleeding is just the common phenomenon that happens in early pregnancy. Based on what I’ve read online, I would be a lot less concerned in my case if it weren’t for the low starting hcg!
Oh hunny sorry to hear that you are in a similar boat. Listen don’t worry about hcg numbers I don’t think they matter as long as they keep rising and how positive is it that you went for a scan and you heard the heart beat !!! Thanks so much. I’m trying to be hopeful xx
This is the injection. They did see some blood in my womb but he did not no how it got there. Yes it was very scary to see the blood but the good new was the blood stopped that same day and turned into brown/ black for a week or so I hope everything works out for you keeping my fingers crossed for you
I can’t see it on here. Not sure why. It’s so so strange why this happens and why they don’t monitor you properly or have the answers you and women like us need. Xx
