Delighted with egg collection so far

Well after only 5 follicles at my initial scan turns out we got 10 eggs. So they had a few more hiding in there! 8 were mature and 6 have fertilised. At 41 I wasn't expecting much at my ec this time round (3rd time) and nearly fell off my bed when she said they got 10 when so few follicles were seen at my scans.

Just waiting on my daily updates and hoping my daily supplements have managed some good sustenance for those eggs! I am expecting a massive drop off in the next few days but for the moment we have something to work with and are still in with a chance!

Ahh I'm so happy for you! I started my 3rd attempt last week so I'm just a bit behind you. I had only 8 antral follicles at my baseline scan but thankfully I responded to the meds and it's looking promising. Keeping everything crossed for your 6 embryos!

Delighted for you. ❤️We had 14 at Base but dwindled to 5 at first scan of stims. I was a bit deflated and it didn't improve massively even after the rest of the scans! You just don't know until they get in there. I was told to expect maybe 5 maximum and then when they got 10 they said they were small so we will see. Today we have 5 with 4 looking good quality. I just need one to be perfect so focusing on that for now! Xx

excellent news ! They do say each time is different, glad it is a positive outcome , hopefully those 6 will be very strong blastocysts xx May I ask what supplements are you taking ?

Thanks for your comment! I am on 75mg of dhea, q10, vitamin e, d and b and iron in high doses. Folic acid, l'arginine 1mg, sea kelp, and loads of magnesium as its the building blocks for all things. I had these for 3 months before my collection. Taking a few day's off but I will continue with them until my transfer in august or September as my lining was amazing this time (I have issues and have prp treatments before transfers but at £1200 I am trying to avoid it) 10.5mm using these (or maybe just a lucky month...) Then again we still have to make it to day 5 and through pgt testing so who knows!

Thank you so much! Yes today is a good day for sure, who knows what tomorrow will bring so just chilling and trying to take each day as it comes. You know yourself it can be over so quickly so just enjoying the sunshine 🌞 of Spain while we are here!

Amazing results, well done! I’m about to start my first round this month! I’m keen to follow your progress. Can I ask did you get tested for DHEA or just start taking it?

My clinic doesn't test for dhea they just put me straight on it. I had asked if they could but they said it wasn't necessary. Though I know others have had different experiences and some clinics always test.

We are currently at day 5 and I am waiting for my email from the lab as they don't contact us on day 4 due to the fast division of the embryos. On day 3 we still had 6 with 4 good quality. I am hoping the drop off isn't too hard on us today and we have something to send for testing.

This really is the very final round and I am ready to be done with it all if we get nothing.

However to give my little boy a sibling would be wonderful and so we are hanging in until the end of this one. Fingers crossed!

Well after all the waiting we have two to send to pgt testing. A day 5 and a day 6 bb and bc. The quality not as good as last time but if they pass testing it doesn't matter.I have 3 weeks to wait now until the results are in. Either we've forward or we won't. Quite chilled at the moment with the thought of it but the finality or it might hit if we don't get at least one back!

2 away to pgt testing. Good to have something but I will admit after 6 fertilised and still have 6 at the end of day 3 I was hopeful for at least one or two more. We are still in however so taking heart from that!

My delight has turned to sadness. Our two pgt tested embryos failed and we have nothing to transfer. It was our last go. Strange to think it is all over. Not sure how i feel but never thought we would be here.
