2nd go, Over before it started

I am so heartbroken today, I was on my 2nd go of Ivf, but with only 3 follicles And none growing, it’s not looking good. They are only 4mm and want me to come back Wednesday for another scan to and to chat through my options.

I’ve considered a Donor egg but decided it’s not for us, with low AMH and only 3 follicles it’s very unlikely I will ever have a child of my own.

Both rounds of IVF have been using the highest dose of stims, but my body is not responding. We have tried cetrotide, Meriofert, buserelin, and overleap. I’ve also been taking CoQ10 and dhea but it hasn’t made a difference.

Has anyone tried natural ivf and been successful?

I’m 36, I still have periods there must be something that can be done 😢 xx

For low AMH natural or mild works best. It will take few rounds though to catch a good egg since you won't get many at once. I got pregnant twice with AMH of 0.5 and 0.16, so quality over quantity. I was 38 and 41 at the time.

I had a cycle where the follicles just wouldn’t grow. I had a couple of months break due to covid and went again - I agree with previous poster about natural IVF. I did natural modified IVF focussing on only a couple of follicles and I had twins. (I’d recommend doing a 3 cycle package though) We persevered as also decided donor eggs weren’t for us x

Look in the book it starts with an egg, the aggressive plan. Melatonin tablets could potentially help . Good luck. Xxx

I would agree with the other comments about having lower dose of drugs. I’ve got a low AMH and have only retrieved 3-4 eggs per cycle but as said it’s quality over quantity. Definitely look at all the vitamins recommended in the book it starts with the egg. I cut out drinking all together for 8 weeks, 3-4 months before my last cycle so the recruitment stage for the eggs and I had the best egg quality this time, 3 out of 4 mature, all 3 made it to blastocyst stage. Xx
