I don't have much info for you, but didn't want to read and run.
My clinic advises TSH below 2.5. Others suggest below 2.0.
I'm interested to know to T3 and T4 too.
Have you had your TPO and TA antibodies checked?
I'm really sorry about what you're going through. I'm going through reccurant losses too and also worried that it's Thyroid related (although my TSH is pretty stable).
I'm sorry too its so awful. Thank you for your kind reply.... I feel a bit lost lately with it all.I do have antibodies but they're always kinda low at 80 or below.
I've had all the usual recurrent miscarriage tests which all come back clear and negative.
I do wonder if my low t4 has anything to do with it.
Yeah, I'm on low dose Levothyroxin. And I'm the same, in that all other tests are coming back negative.
Feel free to DM me if you want to know any specifics on them.
It's very stressful not having answers to miscarriages. Especially as I don't think my clinic actually think it's anything to do with my Thyroid and they're actually quite blasé about it.
Hi, I paid to have a full thyroid profile done with Thriva, the range they give for 'normal tsh' was 0.27-4miu with 1-2.5miu as 'optimal' so I assume anywhere within this range is ok for pregnancy. The full profile was really useful as it gave the ranges and advice on how to regulate these hormones. Wasn't very expensive either...just a suggestion but I found it quite reassuring. Hope things work out for you, take care
Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I’d recommend reading up on these articles. According to Dr Izabella Wentz, known as The Thyroid Pharmacist, your TSH should be no more than 2.
These two articles by her are about the thyroid and pregnancy and are invaluable:
You’ll need TSH, FT4, FT3 (and if possible TGAb and TPOAb) at a minimum. Just TSH is not enough to see the whole picture. Also vitamin results are really important. You can get this testing done through Medichecks. GPs tend to only test TSH and FT4 but they will do vitamins like Vitamin D, B12, Folate and Ferritin. Also pop along to the Thyroid U.K. forum on this website for more advice on your results.
