Me and my husband got advised to have laparoscopy for checking tube patency after 2 years of trying to conceive and six months of oral ovulation induction not working. It has been 12 days from my surgery and still havent been called for follow up. Had ovarian drilling tube dye test and hysteroscopy. Anyone had hot flushes after these procedure? Any other symptoms? Care to share any experiences after ovarian drilling please?
Hey!! I'm 7 days post laparoscopy and I also had ovarian drilling and dye test, been trying to convince for 2 years.
I have had THE WORST time unfortunately, I suffer with chronic anxiety and 3 days after my surgery I convinced myself I had a blood clot or sepsis... I don't but try telling my anxiety ha.
My post of experience has consisted of:
Muscle spasms (in my tummy mainly and little ones in my legs)
I get dizzy spells if I walk around for longer than 10 minutes.
Period like pains that come and go.
Neausea
Hot flushes
Cold feet
Tention headache
Panic attacks
Low moods
Shotting pains in my belly buttons
There's probably more but, I'm telling you these because the reason I panicked is because every where you look on the Internet is days you'd be fine after 2-3 days..... HECK NO. I was meant to go back to my office job yesterday, I'm signed off till Monday and looking at probably doing phased return to work next week maybe.
I haven't had any follow up from the hospital, the doctor said if I don't get pregnant in 6 months they will refer me to fertility clinic.
I have heard a lot of positive stories about women getting BFP after the procedure we have had!
Let me know what your experience has been like! Be interesting to hear if we have experienced the same things 😊😊
Yes 2-3 days is definitly NOT sufficient time for recovery! They didnt give me an antibiotic post op so now i have an infection, but pain is much much better. I had the hot flushes amd dizziness too. Its been 13 days and the pain is less but worsens on walking. Unfortunately had to start work but took sick leave again past 2 days as job involves standing long hours. But yeah getting better, and wishing you all the best too
