FET Drugs arrived

Morning all

SO, the FET drugs have arrived. I have already used Buserelin before so that is not the problem. I have three boxes of Evorel (used those before too) but has anyone ever made use of Crinone 8% vaginal gels before or Inhixia . There is something also called Lubion which I believe is the intramuscular progesterone. Need some advice on drugs and/or side effects if any?

My consultant wants me to drop T4 to 175mcg from 200mcg...obviously going off pathetic NHS guidelines. Funny how I managed to get 9 good embryos with 200mcg daily. My Functional Medicine Specialist is going to send him into orbit when she tells him I am also starting T3 in the very near future. No negotiation with him on that one!!!!

Hey Yammie, I have used, crinone gel (internal progesterone), inhixia (blood thinner) and will be on Lubion too this time.....its not intramuscular, its subcutaneous progesterone so not as painful as intramuscular. I cant say there is much side affects apart from the progesterone can make you feel pregnant - sore boobs, crampy, bloating, dodgy tummy. Is there anything else specific you want to ask?xx

Hey you, thanks for the hints and tips. I am currently on the Buserelin and evorels at the moment, after next scan on Thursday 10th, I will move to the crinone, and inhixia (I'm not too happy about the blood thinning though and will discuss this with my consultant) and lubion (additional progesterone) after that. All the you tube stuff says that lubion is intramuscular...if so I am not looking forward to that!!

Hope that you are O.K. I haven't been on the forum for a while as trying to fight my GP and endocrinologist about T3: finally have that as well via a funtional medicine specialist.

The blood thinners is to help with blood flow to the uterus and it would seem blood thinners of some type are usually recommended for us older ladies unfortunately - I start on aspirin then move to injectables nearer embryo transfer. See what he consultant says and his reasoning for it for you. You may not need it after a discussion. As for the crinone gel....apologies in advance if TMI, get some panty liners as you will get some leakage. Also it tends to gather in clumps inside so you may have to self clean....so glamourous eh?! My clinic have given me the Lubion as it can be done subcutaneous which is easier (I think it can be used intramuscular though), hopefully it will be the same for you.

All fine at my end, I'll be starting my prep for FET soon too. Best of luck with it all.xx

Hi Yammie. Many clinics advise the use of a blood thinner now, as it ensures a nice even blood flow to the womb lining, and helps to prevent any clot formation, so give it a go if you have been prescribed it. Good luck with it all! Diane

Thanks Dianne. There has never been a problem with blood supply to my lining and it has always been perfect...so this something I will NOT be taking come hell or high water.

Hi. That’s good to know you don’t have any problem with your lining. No need to take drugs if not needed. Hope all goes well. Diane

Hi!

I’ve just started the lubion yesterday, just to pre-warn, the injection site has been a little sore ( bit like when you walk in to the bed post and the bruise hurts for ages!)

I’ve been told to inject this in my stomach- the joy!

Best of luck xxxx

Thanks

The clinic didn't put this on my drugs prescription from Stork but gave this on my treatment protocol spreadsheet...so I don't know if they are going to use it as I think they are trying the gels first. I will be going for next scan this Thursday so will tackle the consultant then.
