Hi everyone,

Just after a bit of advice, I may be being stupod. My drugs have arrived today and my dosage off menopur is 150 but I have 600IU and 1200 IU. Is that wrong? I'm going to call the nurse tomorrow it's so confusing 😬😬

Check but I am sure 2hen I had that I had to extract the right amount each day from the vial in order to do the injections. Have they not given you a demo? Xx

I think you are probably right but the delivery note say see have 2 days to check them if they're wrong so I panicked a bit. We have a teach in a couple of weeks but wanted to be sure xx

That's probably it then. Do you have two different coloured / types of needles?

I think so but I don't want to open them in case they are wrong. The boxes are sealed. I'm probably just not thinking straight, its a bit overwhelming xx

It is. Count the total volume and check that is what you have been told you will need over the protocol period. Hopefully that will put your mind at ease xx

As far as I remember you mix the 600 or 1200 iu of Menopur up. Then draw your dosage (150iu) up with your needle to inject. Then the wee vial gets stored at room temperature for your next injection. I think Menopur have a website with injection tutorials on it. I’d double check with your clinic if you’re unsure of anything at all. Good luck with everything xx

Hello,

I was also one 150 menopur a day and had these boxes. The 600 one will last you 4 days and the 1200 will be 8 days. So enough for 12 days of stims.

The nurse usually makes it up the first day for you and then you just take 150 out each day.

I did find the needles blunt easily as it’s the same needle you use to draw it out the vial as you use to inject it into you. If you find the needle is having difficulty going in to your skin just put the liquid back in the vial and start again. Learnt this the hard way after repeatedly trying to stab my belly with a blunt needle 🤦🏼‍♀️.

If you need anything else just drop me a message 🙂 good luck with it all!x

Oh thanks so much!! I thought that would be the case but they just don't make it clear really. I suppose I didn't take into account I could be drinking for so long. I've left a message with my clinic anyhow to go over it. Appreciate the help very much xx
