I don’t know if any of you has experienced this but since I have started my treatment (Progynova) I have trush that doesn’t want to go away. I used 2 pessaires and cream. The symptoms have eased but they are sill there (very mild). It’s also not burning anymore when I go to the loo. No discharged just a very mild burning sensation (sorry for all the details). My clinic said to go and see the Gp to get tablets on prescription but my Gp said that they are not compatible with pregnancy. Also my gp said that te remaining sides effect could be due to the fact that I have been on treatment for a while (12days). I really don’t know what to do. It is driving me insane. Do I buy the bullet and take the drugs? Or wait and see if there will be more improvements. Can this drug affect the embryos when it will be transferred? Or they should be gone from my system by Thursday? The clinic said they will cancel the treatment if I still have trush. I am meant to get FET on Thursday.... I really welcome your view, experience and support. Many thanks for reading me. Best on luck to all of you who are on treatment 💖

I’d ask your GP how long it would take for the drugs to be out of your system, yes the tablets can’t be used in pregnancy or if breast feeding so they are right there but you may have a window now to use them (given it’s one tablet) and get sorted once and for all. I can sympathise with the thrush, mine started at 38weeks pregnant and all I could have was the 1% cream and now baby is here I still can’t use anything as I’m healing 😢 hoping I can cope with the itch for another 3 and a bit weeks until I get my 6 week GP post natal checkup. I really hope you can beat it and get your transfer x
Congratulations on your baby!!!! Such a wonderful news!!
I can sympathise with the trush pain. Have you tried to wash yourself with salt and water? Personally it tried it for 2 days and it helped me to ease the burning sensation. I am seeing my gp today. Hopefully I will get to the bottom of it. Many thanks for your support xxx
Have you tried plain yogurt? I am currently eating 2a day with a bit of honey and since I feel a bit better. Hopefully you will feel better soon too 🤞🤞🤞 take care xx
I had thrush that kept coming back before fet. I didn’t go to my gp I bought the canasten duo (pessary) i used this 2 days before my fet I didn’t think to much of it until that evening and panicked would anything be left in the way for my transfer I didn’t tell my clinic I had thrush or that I took the pessary in case they cancelled and I’m now 9 weeks pregnant
I wouldn’t recommend doing what I did my head was all over the place I really wasn’t thinking but on the plus side it worked out for me x
Hi, thank for your support and congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Such a wonderful news. My symptoms have improved since yesterday. I think the trush has gone. I think it’s the pessaires which are burning me. I am going to see my gp today anyway. Hopefully she will put my mind at ease. Thanks again for sharing your experience and best of luck with your pregnancy 💖
I hate Thrush and it can be so flipping hard to shift. Your FET is quite close now. Will your Thrush have completed cleared up by then? I really don’t know what advice to give you. Perhaps Diane could advise you. Hoping you get sorted xx
Me tooo. It is so fustrating! I am hoping I will be clear by Thursday. I am doing everything I can to achieve this. I think it has gone and now it’s just the side effects of the pessaires. I don’t know. So confusing and stressful. I am seeing my gp today. Many thanks for your support. Best of luck with your IVF journey xxx
Hi, sorry for replying just now to your message. Last few days were a bit intense and stressful. I had to got back to the gp several times. To cut a long story short. I took the tablet and felt better immediately after. I did a swab and it confirmed I had no thrush. This was a real relief. I eat a lot of plain yogurt too which seems helping. My gp said the burning sensation was a side effect of the pessary. and you how are you? How are you getting on with your treatment? I hope you t’ont have any nasty side effects. Take care and good luck 💖
Did you get to go ahead with transfer then, I do hope so?! Those pessaries can be a bit nasty for sure, I had previous problems in the past and got put on a different kind which helped.
My lining is being a bit of a pain, stuck at 6.2mm so clinic have upped my progynova dose and I have another scan next week.....fingers crosed I get to go ahead with transfer beginning of Dec!xx
🤞🤞🤞🤞 yes I did and I still can’t believe it! 🤞🤞🤞🤞It’s been a year since we tried to reach that stage let alone all the others year when did but sadly miscarriage or the test was negative... hopefully your lining will increase with more Progynova 🤞🤞🤞 you are nearly there. Take care 💖
