Finally Cycle 2 begins...

Went in for 2nd cycle treatment planning today. I'm doing (short) antagonist this time starting off norethisterone for 9 days. Having endo scratch day cd21. No down reg for me this time to hopefully avoid ohss. Long protocol felt like an eternity first time round. Hoping to have a fresh transfer this time instead of a FET.

Going on Fyremadel and fostimon this time (last time of suprecur and bemfola). Anyone have experience of fyremadel and fostimon? Not sure what to expect.

1st cycle was pretty traumatic. 18eggs, 16 mature, 13 fertilised but only 3 made it to day 5. Ohss nearly finished me off emotionally when I had to stop treatment. Throwing everything at it this time with a diet overhaul, high strength vits D and C, omega 3, coq10, inofolic, my ova, multivit, dhea and melatonin. Not particularly bothered about overdosing. Also bought the book it starts with the egg. So desparate for it to work next time and not to lose so many embryos by day 5. Have also insisted on IMSI instead of ICSI next cycle. Although not proven according to hfea, I'm hoping not lose lose so many by day 5 next time.

Just thinking out aloud... πŸ˜” 🍍 🌈 🀱

Hi don't worry

All will work out when it has to .

Death and birth is under God's will as a human we can only try try try n try and never think about what happened in last cycle because living in past will destroy urself.

Remember there is universe watching us

and it knows how hard you are trying but please pamper urself ,don't be too hard on your body.

Even me in same boat but still staying strong because I know universe will grant us everything we need at right time and this cycle is the right time for you.

Wish you all the best with all my heart.

Good luck with round 2.

I used fyremadel but not fostimon (I was on Menopur) for my short protocol and it was fine. I liked that the fyremadel was in the pre packaged injection . Just the usual bloating but all in all I got off easily with only 9 days stimming. You’ll do great 😊 xx

Hi lovely, I'm on cycle 4 (antagonist ICSI) and started FSH today (ovaleap) and also using fyremedal as the antagonist. Not used it before but starting that on 15th.

Sorry to hear you had a hard first cycle. I was borderline ohss and the EC the sedation didn't work so they had to abort collecting eggs, so got fewer than planned. Not easy at the time but had to try and remember that it only takes 1 egg to become an embryo and that 1 embryo to stick.... try not to worry too much about the numbers. My 2nd cycle I had 4 blastos from 19 eggs collected, 1 stuck and I had a daughter, (and froze the other 3). Keep positive... your numbers sound better than you think!! Best if luck xx
