Cycle 2 begins today

Hi Ladies, so with more than a few misgivings, I've started sniffing today. I think I'm most concerned about the side effects and that over the next few weeks I'm going to turn into a spotty, grouchy, emotional, bloated pretty unlikeable person who also gets monumental headaches. I'm going to try to be really good with my sugar intake this time and will keep acupuncture going too. I'm hoping this will improve things a bit. Poor hubby. He's in for a bit of a ride. At least I'm going away for a week on Sunday to my mum's. That will give him a break. Anyone else about to start their journey and wants to be a cycle buddy? Thanks, Vic x

Hey Vic, there are a few girls that have not long started uncluding myself! Im on cycle 3 and I have my baseline scan on Tuesday 30th. I havent been too bad so far though Im sure my husband would beg to differ! Ha ha ha I was a bit emotional last week at this time but Ive pulled myself together again! Good luck!xx

We also decided to do cycle three in june.we might not be cycle buddies coz i start meds around the 10th of june.all the best with your next cycle.

Hi MrsC. Just wanted to wish you well with all of this, and try and drink some extra water, it may help with the headaches. Hope you enjoy your time with your mother, and make sure you hide all the long knives at home,when having those "moments". Joking apart - good luck! Diane

Thank you Diane. Yes I'll try to drink more water this time. I wasn't told about this on my previous cycle so I'm hoping that will help. Thank you. I'm looking forward to some time with Mum in the sun and I'm hoping I won't be too much of a nightmare for hubby. Have a good bank holiday. Vic x

Wishing you all the best. I empathise with the headaches - I'm on my 1st cycle & had a horrendous headache/migraine on my down regging - I was drinking 2 litres of water a day & more but nothing would shift it apart from codeine (I checked with my clinic first & it was fine to take) it eventually went after 4 days. Fingers crossed you are ok on this cycle xxx

I start my stims today. Round number three of ICSI. Worst thing is I know so much more about ivf now and what to expect. I'm also doing Acupuncture which haven't done in previous cycles. Good luck xxxx
