***Sensitive** Natural pregnancy after 4 IVF failures

Hey all,

I actually can't quite believe I'm writing this, but I'm after similar stories and support.

This is my story - I have been TTC for 6+ years now started ivf back in 2021, due to unexplained fertility. Told IVF was my only option. First NHS funded round was a disaster, poor embryo quality, failed and nothing to freeze. Now we have to fund ourselves Second full cycle this time icsi - better quality embryo transferred 2 (nothing to freeze again) sadly CP ended at 5 weeks. 3rd cycle transferred 5AB - failed and one 5AA Frozen. First FET in June ended at 10 weeks MMC and had D&C. After all this my clinic then advised a Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy - had this in September, was told I had a small amount of ENDO removed (no idea where this was located) and one blocked tube they couldn't unblocked and 2 fibroids. I am yet to get the results of the lining biopsy. After this my consultant said this will be one the reason i have not fell naturally - this was told at my bedside and I'm yet to have a follow up to discuss anything that was found....

After what has been the worst year of our/my life following 2 losses, we decided to put IVF to one side and just concentrate on getting my mental health back to where I was prior to ivf life and look at it in spring/summer time.

I did however start reflexology once a week and continued acupuncture once a fortnight to help with everything and they recommended i track my ovulation by doing basal body temperature tracking, never done this before (just always the strips) but started this on my first proper cycle after the surgery in October. i was told after ovulation my temperature should start to drop but it didn't my temp had actually risen and continued to rise, along with this i started to have back pain and very tired so i thought I'd take an HPT to my complete shock it was POSITIVE and a very very strong line at 14dpo.

Im currently around 4 weeks 2 days very very early and due to previous losses, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic as i know how quickly things can change but the fact i have managed to fall pregnant after 4 ivf cycles is just a complete miracle. I know after a Laparoscopy it is a good clear out, so this has really helped me.

Has anyone had a similar story and to go on and have a healthy pregnancy, I'm an anxious mess and i just don't know how to stop thinking it's going to end badly :)

Thank you

xx

Sammy this is amazing news I’m so happy for you! Although after everything you’ve been through I totally understand why you will be taking things one day at a time. I’ll be honest and say I find it frustrating that we all get referred for IVF before laparoscopy’s/hysterocopys etc which don’t seem to be offered in till we’ve had years and years of IVF/miscarriage/heartache. Over the moon for you anyway and will be thinking of you! Xxx

thank you so much. I’m still in complete shock and taking everyday as it comes. Have a scan Wednesday to check it’s where it should be and things are progressing as they should. I’m very anxious but I just have to count even being in this situation as a blessing/miracle.

Hope you’re doing ok 💗💗
