Hi all, I’ve had a really tough year having just gone through my second emergency op of the year following a second Ectopic pregnancy post IVF. I have now lost both my fallopian tubes…
The morphine is now wearing off from hospital, and I’m feeling incredibly low. I just need to hear some positive IVF stories post Ectopic tubal removals…xxxx

hi your story is similar to mine. But not sure if this will help. I pushed my ob to get a endometriosis surgery. That’s when after I found out I did have endometriosis and affected my tubes infected liquid that made tubes inflamaded and causes blocked tubes and miscarriages if u do ivf . So I took my tubes out. So far my uterus is good. But that worked for me w another Ivf round and finally had a baby.
thank you Reyna- I am praying that the next time we do IVF it works now I don’t have tubes. Were you able to produce eggs in your ovaries? When I had my first emergency op earlier this year, it impacted my right ovary which now doesn’t seem to produce eggs…I’m worried the same will happen to my left when they do checkups in a couple of months…I’m so worried x
hi jasmineW89, , yes, I did still produce eggs in my ovaries but vary few because of my older age but as long as you have 1-2 good embryos. I say it’s worth a shoot again. my ivf Dr also prescribed Omnitrope with my fertility meds and helped me produce more and healthier eggs . I also changed my diet and fasted a couple months before this ivf round. It was going to give up because It was so hard mentally, physically & financially but I kept praying for a sign if I should stop trying or to help me to have a baby. This is going to sound weird but Jesus came to me in a dream when I was almost going to give up and he told me don’t stop my faith and don’t stop trying. He also said it was not going to be easy. That’s when I had my last miscarriage but I tried again . So I wish you the best of luck and will pray for you . Half of the fertility battle is in this physical realm but the other is spiritual . Link the too as much as you can. Don’t loose hope.
thank you for sharing Reyna- that is so nice to hear…I won’t lose hope…if it’s meant to be I pray it happens the next time we try. At the moment it’s all up in the air. I’m 5 weeks post surgery and still no sign of a period
I had to have both of my tubes removed before I could have IVF and I was one of the lucky ones and it worked first time for me and I now have a beautiful 6 month old daughter, it seems you haven't had an issue getting pregnant with IVF in the past, the issue was the ectopic, now that issue has been removed so you have every chance and probably a better chance of a successful pregnancy, I hope this helps, good luck, try and have some well deserved 'me' time over Christmas and push forward next year X x x
ah I am so happy for you Bernie150781 -that is so positive!! During the first 4 rounds of IVF I didn’t get pregnant. The following two I did and both were ectopic so I wondered whether I actually could because they’ve never actually stuck in my uterus. Why did you have to have your tubes removed? Did you period come quite quick after removal? I’m worried everything has stopped working xx
I had them removed because they were blocked, I had keyhole surgery to unblock them but the scar tissue then blocked them back up again so they told me to remove them before I could have IVF, I didn't hesitate as it was impossible to get pregnant anyway I wanted to take my chances with the IVF and it worked.I wish you luck, stay strong X x x
thank you- that’s good to hear. It’s been just over 5 weeks since I’ve had surgery and no sign as yet so really nervous this time. After my last ectopic pregnancy/tube removal- it can back within 2 weeks xxx
I had both fallopian tubes and 1 ovary removed due to medical reasons. We just did our first round of ivf as it's the only way without fallopian tubes. Embryo transfer was yesterday so heres hoping it worked ! But you can still have a family, unfortunately medical intervention will be needed.
I hope it works for you- my journey has been incredibly tough. 6 rounds of IVF if not great financially, emotionally or physically…the hospital has said I have to have 3 regular periods and then they’ll start doing all the blood tests and scans to make sure I am ok to go again…it’s 5 weeks since the removal of my remaining tube and I still haven’t had a period though…x
