ever since my period started at the age of 13 i experienced severe pain and vomiting.
i was evenutally diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 33. i have had prostap injections
and the coil fitted 3 times (all fitted incorrectly) at a womens clinic i might add.
continous bleeding collapsed on floor and rushed to A & E where i had fibroids and polpys removed.
9 biopsies as my endometrium lining was too thick and if left untreated can develop into cancer.
i have been to every gynaecology dept in Glasgow buy eventually found a consultant who listened to me and did not try to fob me off.
i eventually had a hysterectomy in November at he age of 59 where they discovered that one of my ovaries was embedded in my bowel and was in surgery for 6 hours.
I have recovered well and just wish someone had listened to me earlier.
My daughter is experiencing all the symptoms i had and she is on an 18 month waiting list to see someone.
I have decided to have her seen privately which i can ill afford but the thought of her suffering makes my blood boil.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
