Looking for some advice please if you've been in a similar situation.
I've been struggling more with my gut lately (pain, bloating, nausea, constipation & diarrhoea, sometimes passing blood, no hunger/ desire to eat).
My GP has done some tests, my calprotectin came back a bit high and has referred me to gastro. They said it could be inflammatory bowel disease.
Any advice for me for when I see the gastro team? I'm worried it could be endo but not sure. I had surgery in March and was told endo was on my bowel (removed) but I haven't had any investigations to look inside and I'm wondering if it could be endo?
Any advice appreciated.
Thank you ladies if you took the time to read this 🫶

I had so many bowel investigations before they diagnosed endo. I think they are both interlinked with similar symptoms. I find taking fibrogel every day and peppermint oil really helpful for bowel issues, sometimes you have to take pain killers. I hope you figure it out. It might be endo!!
i had the exact same experience, down to raised calprotein! had a colonoscopy, small bowel MRI and sehcat scan with did reveal bile acid malabsorption, but never really gave me an answer as to why my symptoms were so bad. took me a few years after for my surgeon to notice a nodule on my bowel during a laparoscopy!
i think it would absolutely worth mentioning - it’s great that they are being proactive to rule out bowel specific issues, but if you find the trail runs cold on those, please raise concerns that it could be endo related! good luck with everything, i hope it all goes well!
