black bowel blood.

I’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis in my pelvis after it was found on my appendix after my appendectomy

for about two years now, I’ve been bleeding from my bowels, and it really is loads with a few black clots, Now it’s around 10 + days a month

( I’m 16 years post complete hysterectomy , so no periods) I’m 58

I’ve started taking pictures and Absolutely everyone who’s seen how much has been shocked, including GPs, colon surgeons, nurses, urologists and gynaecologists, the toilet just looks like it’s full of blood not water, sometimes I sit down it just pours out.

I had a colonoscopy and they said apart from mild diverticulosis , and mild patchy erythema, and a fixed sigmoid , my colon looks normal.

however I still haven’t had the results from the 12 biopsies they tool.

Now I’ve started having black and very dark maroon colour stools, and you can see blood seeping from it into the water.

Has anyone else experienced this, or opinions of what it could be?

Did your consultant annd bowel team also say that you endometriosis of your bowel? I think I would ask them directly if that’s what it is and what they can do to improve your symptoms/situation and/or perhaps seek a second opinion if necessary.

Best of luck getting some answers.

My gynaecologist thinks I have endometriosis of the bowel, and also thoracic endometriosis.

The biopsies were taken around four to five weeks ago.

Apparently it’s taking around three months+ to get results in our area, north wales.

The biopsy from my last surgery took over three months.

You don’t say how long ago the biopsy was taken. Clearly it’s not normal and the bleeding maybe coming from higher up and you should certainly be rattling their cages hard for an answer. Your experience isn’t standard or normal.

Good luck with getting a response and if they remain sluggish get onto PALS to fight your corner for you.
