Hi, I have tried everything for period pains too. I’m writing this right now whilst having the most horrendous pains! The only thing I did was go to the doctors and ask for stronger pills/pain relief as paracetamol and any of the other over the counter pills were just not cutting it so my doctor gave me codeine.

The only problem is it takes the edge of initially with the pain and helps with my lower back and hips but within an hour the pain just comes back, so in total I have an hours respite. Some days though like today it can help just to have that hour being pain free!

I hope someone maybe has some better ideas but it helps me to know that I’m not alone as some people just don’t understand the pain you can be in when on your period.

Take care 😀

I bleed pretty much every 6 days at the minute and it’s so unpredictable so I don’t know when to start taking this. Thank you x

Mine have been unpredictable recently, so have started taking it every day. The mefanamic acid you can take as pain relief when you get your period. You’d need to get these from your GP. Evening primrose, the website healthspan is a good place to get them.

I’ve being doing all the usual things like painkillers, heating pad, hot bath etc but for the last 2 months I’ve been using Be You period patches from Amazon. They’re herbal patches that you stick on you lower abdomen or lower back...or wherever you have pain I spose! They’ve really helped me, worth a try x

I’ve recently started taking premeze after hearing good things. I’ve found it has definitely helped with symptoms. I’ve only had to take one a day.
