Sharp pain

Hi, for a little while now I've been getting these sharp sudden stabbing pains, on my right side. To me it feels like ovary pain and it makes me feel sick, my hip feels more pain on that side too. When I had my surgery last year they said my ovaries were totally clear. It can't really be ovulation I don't think because it's always the right side and I've been on birth control and my periods have stopped.

What on earth could be causing this pain? Does anyone experience similar?

It could be a cyst, if it lasts more than a couple of cycles then I'd definitely get a TV ultrasound.

I have these pains every month in November the saw 1x 4cm but by January it was 8cm and 2 others had developed on the other ovary. Hth
