I know I’m close to ovulation in a few days but even when it’s not, I get sharp pains in both sides randomly in the month. Enough to make me notice and be like Ow and stop what I’m doing at the time. Can this be linked to endo?
Does anyone know how you can tell if your not ovulating and the tubes are like blocked or something?

I had blocked tubes the pain was immense but I didn't know I had them till they did my lap asking with hsg and hysteroscopy they x rated and put dye through my tubes to see if the dye came out it did but really really slow which indicated adhesions or endo inside my tubes. It was extremely painful every time I ovulated. Ask if they'll do these tests whilst they do your lap xxxx
Thank you, I know the endo specialist found tenderness in the bilateral adnexal (apparently the fancy word for ovarian cysts and the tubes) but this sharp pain hurts and is annoying xxx
The only way you can properly detect ovulation is if you get a positive lh test and your bbt has been risen for three, days after ovulation also your cervical mucous will go like egg white.
Iv learnt a lot from the ladies on fertility forum. The tests will detect up to48 hours before you ovulate if you get the cheap ones the line has to be as dark as the control or darker. Bbt will help you and your gynae determine if you have a luteal phase defect especially as you suffer with bad pms xxx
You might not see it it sometimes is high up near the cervix If your ovulation isn't very good. Your not really interested in that as your not ttc. But I do suggest doing your bbt that's how I confirmed my progesterone was low which was causing my horendous pms. If you want any help or you would like me to direct you how to do it just pm me xxx
go to Poundland and get some cheap ovulation tests, it will help confirm if you are ovulating and help you to pinpoint when the pain is, I found them so helpful because I could definitively say to my doctor if I was in pain when I was ovulating or not xx
Omg I didn’t know these existed! How does it work? I have an app on my phone and it’s says in a couple days I should be and I’m getting the sharp pains etc but these happen randomly throughout the month xx
It's like a preg test u pee on it, I'm very prone to cysts and iv learnt to know the difference in my pains I know wat pain means cysts are (unruptured ones) and it's a sharp stabbing pain in my ovary area, a ruptured one is a whole lot worse had that once when I was 8 weeks pregnant n I swear it was worse than Labour itself!! cld be a wee cyst or 2, u might already know wat a cyst feels like for U, good chance it cld be ovulation aswell I find some months worse than others x
They’re like pregnancy tests, because there is a hormone in your wee that spikes when your ovulating, not sure how scientifically accurate these tests actually are, but you can have pain before, during or after your ovary has actually released an egg, so they might not be that helpful to you but it’s worth a shot, I only did it out of pure desperation to try and pinpoint my pains, especially the stabbing ones, 🙃
If you do do it, I 100% suggest mentioning to your parents you’re trialing this as an attempt to find a cause of your pain and that they aren’t pregnancy tests, because that’s an awkward conversation you could easily avoid 😉
I have had bad ovulation pain for 6 months before my scan which found a cyst on my ovary. Had the cyst removed via lap and pain was worse this month 😢🙄 maybe due to operation though hoping for less pain next month 😊
Yeah I haven’t had any recent ultrasound scans. But it’s like a dull constant ache across my lower stomach with sharp pains on both sides. Certain movement like stretching make the sharp pain so much worse
Mine has been very similar this weekend. Which according to my app is ovulation time too, but going to pick up some kits to double check, didn’t know they did them.
Hope you get some relief soon.
GP gave me naproxen which helps a bit, only downside it makes me fuzzy 🙄.
