Decapeptyl injections still bleeding unsure what to do?

Hi I have just joined I am 41 years old and currently waiting for a hysterectomy for fibroid and adenomyosis. She suspects endometriosis too but needs an mri to confirm this. I have been in pain suffering for years have tried endless pills and coil which was an awful 18 months of bleeding almost constantly. 5 weeks ago the consultant told me that the waiting list is approximately 2 years and she recommended I try the injections to ease me suffering whilst I wait. The first injection made me feel awful and I had heavy bleeding and cramps for 11 days she gave me hrt to take and I have been taking that since approx 5 days after the injection. I have had sweats day and night, headaches and just felt so awful not sleeping and wiped out. Gp checked iron and levels were fine he said. Saw consultant for second injection last week was meant to be a 3 month one but when I told her my symptoms she decided to do a month and see me again for my 3rd injection she told me to up my hrt dose. Now I have had cramps brown/black stringy discharge (it’s disgusting) for a few days and today heavy bleeding fresh red blood again and usual period painful cramps and I just don’t know what to do is this normal should I be trying to speak to someone or wait until I see her again in 3 weeks? She told me this would stop my period but now I seem to be having both menopause and period symptoms. Has anyone else experienced similar? Thanks

This sounds awful! I haven't experienced this but I think you should contact her before your appointment based on what you're experiencing.

Hi, I have been on Decapeptyl monthly injections for 3 months where I had heavy bleeding and pain after the first injection but after the 2nd I've not had any periods (bonus 😊). I do suffer from night sweats and have just started on Tibolone HRT tablets which haven't kicked in yet as still getting night sweats. I have experienced a sore back again since starting these but not sure if this is a coincidence.
