Firstly go back to drs. I was put on the pill aged 15 as i never had regular periods. This meant now i had regular periods i could take menanafic acid tablets 2 days prior to starting which meant the cramps werent as bad.

Its not easy and myself it got worse and worse nobody took me seriously how bad it was. My moods got horrific certain parts of the month im 36 now and people are just taking me seriously.

Best advice just be there for hugs and keep pestering drs!!

Are you able to get to a BGSE center to try and get her fast tracked to seeing a endo specialist? I know the process takes a long time. So start now. In the meantime, people have mentioned that serrapeptase, nattokinase, cramp bark supplements have helped alleviate the pain. Sitting in a hot bath helps a lot as well as hot water bottle and electric heating pads. A lot of people have found relief through an antiinflammatory diet. No caffeine, alcohol, gluten (it irritates the GI tract and is inflammatory) But her symptoms sound aligned with deep infiltrating endometriosis, so surgery with an expert excision specialist is her best bet at a normal life. Hi

Poor girl.

I was 13 when mine were like that, my mum was good coz she had suffered all her life and my nan so it a family thing.

Get her a hot water bottle.

Over the counter , cocodamol 8/500mg give her two every 5 hours( no more then 8 a day).

Try to get them into her as soon as she come on before full pain starts( that what i still do, my mum always said “ get the pain before the pain gets u”)

Then get her to the gp.

I was put on pill at 15 coz they were so bad was on it years.

Also the poo thing , we all get constipated whilst on period as ur body takes the extra water to give u a period which means ur bowels dont get enough water so u could get her some lactulose solution. Just use it whilst she on period.

Lots of water and fruit and veg aswell. I found when i eat badly through period im sicker if i eat healthy the pains not so bad but i do have ibs aswell.

Is there any chance that she could have ibs? I thought it was all period but i realised it was mainly my ibs. My periods are good now as i have a good diet

It a case of trial and error finding things that help her! As at her age they will not do anything major as in a laparoscopy or look for endo they will just try to treat it.

So all it about trying to get her comfy through them first couple of days

It a strange one coz i was told generally it is a hereditary thing but obvs if u dont suffer its not.

My whole family suffer from my nan to my aunt to my mum then me!

Ibs and period problems can b so similar and even One can effect the other.

Is she only ill on period or through the rest of month to?

If it only period time then yes u just got to address the pain, keep her as comfy as poss.

Cocodamol is just a paracetamol with bit of codeine.

Hot water bottle just get her one with a cover so it dont burn her and that will help her.

Like i said i always make sure im stocked up for everything in my bedside cabinet ... all my pills and stuff just so as soon as i come on i take them so the pain doesnt get chance to get me.

I havent even got endo, ive had 2

Laps to prove it but i got something called dysmenorrhea. Means very painful periods, she could just have that so basically every month just need to control pain for her.

It hard as a mum if u never suffered as u dont obv know what to do for her but therw loads of people on here that can help her.

If she talking about the pooing prob she prob got constipation pain which is HORRIFIC.. if she not gone 💩by tomoz get her some lactulose solution( laxative) and make her drink lotsa water and some fruit..

Dont let her suffer even

If u just give her a couple paracetamol that will help for time being until u can get to a pharmacist.

My best friend is a hot water bottle... stops the cramps.

I know it prob frowned on nowadays( im 44) but my mum used

To give me a tiny bit of brandy in hot

Milk.

It worked

Your poor daughter. I know what it’s like to be 16 and in agony from endo as that was me :( I can relate to the pain when going to the toilet too.

Does she have an electric heatpad? If not I would really recommend. Mine is basically attached to me and I have one for my back and one for my belly.

If she is too nauseous to eat I recommend Nairn’s stem ginger oat biscuits - you can buy these in the supermarket - I keep these by my bed for when I feel too sick to move, get her to try eating one before she gets up, take about 5-10 minutes to eat one. The ginger is helpful for nausea and they have sugar in so will give her some energy too.

Where abouts do you live? Is she seeing a gynaecologist already?

Hope the pain eases for her very soon x

Also, in addition to this, one thing which might help with her pain when going to the toilet is two small step stools (they sell fold up ones in dunelm and I’m sure lots of other places) one under each foot, for me this makes the pain slightly less severe as you’re in a more comfortable and natural position to go to the toilet - I was advised to do this by my pelvic pain physiotherapist as I have a lot of pain when going, especially when on my period.
