I have just been approved for medical cannabis, first day today taking 0.5ml. curled up on the couch with a hohot water bottle, we shall see how this goes...
I alsalso have stage 4 endo, laparoscopy performed back in april. They drained the endos, removed 2 x 9cm masses and unstuck my "kissing ovaries" draining rather than removing has saved my ovaries tubes etc but it has aggravated my endo so much that I am in more pain since the surgery. Also havinhaving weekly acupuncture and have also been prescribed naproxen, but I want to give the cannabis oil a try (only) this month.
Good luck with your journey I hope you find something that can help. My suggestion extremely hot baths and constant hot water bottles whilst not moving at all. This is what works the best for me, over everything else I've ever tried.
Thanks for your reply and good luck on your medical cannabis journey.
I've been on it now for about 3 months, taking up to 1ml a day microdosing throughout the day which seems to work best. You can take smaller amounts and build up to what you need throughout the day.
I'm not much of a bath girl but I recommend heat pads/blankets. I'm almost always with either a heat pad or hot water bottle for the pain.
I'm so sorry the surgery has made things worse for now. I hope that doesn't last too long. I've been waiting 3-4 years for any kind of treatment so I can't wait to have my hysterectomy. I'm realistic about the pain being bad still after surgery but I'm hopeful it wont be worse.
Are you meaning proper full cannabis oil through private prescription (with THC) or CBD/Hemp oil that has no THC? I use actual cannabis and it has been the best relief of any painkillers. Now I have a diagnosis I'm entitled to a private prescription of cannabis but haven't organised this yet with my consultant. If anyone is interested in trying proper THC medical cannabis then google Project Twenty21, they do a proper medical cannabis trial and sign patients up to proper registered clinics. It can cost a fair bit, highest I've seen is around £300 for the appointment and £70 for your prescription. But you get proper medical cannabis, in both flower and oil form. Endometriosis is on the list of qualifying conditions, you have to of tried at least 2 other treatments that have failed, then your consultant must sign the referral form to the clinic it is easy to do and every step is on the website if you want further advice. All their patient results are also on the website so you can read past trials and how patients have responded.
