Hi! I'm trying out some food supplements, and yesterday, my pack of CBD oil came in. For background, this is a legal food supplement in the UK.
For 2 days, I've tried the CBD Queen 500mg/bottle full spectrum oil, over two days (under tongue), plus the CBD body oil with aromatic herbs (as tummy rub after healed laparoscopy).
I've read reviews that women with endo try it for pain relief, and generally review that it "kind of helps a little".
Well, I also read that CBD oil may help to reduce anxiety.
So, here's my observation: about 45 minutes after trying the CBD oil and body oil, sitting in bed doing nothing but mildly hurting, I started to think of interesting things I could do. The first day, I got up and went for a walk. The second day, I heard noises in the kitchen and went down for a social hot chocolate. So, it was as though it was reducing my subconscious desire to hide from the pain by hiding from life in bed (I know that doesn't work, but I keep catching myself doing that because I misinterpret pain as being tired).
So, this is interesting! It's a really mild effect - just reducing the pain-anxiety a tiny fraction, and maybe reducing the pain a tiny bit too. So, obviously not a cure or a big impact, but something nice. 🙂 I'm going to keep trying this to see if this is a trend.
Have you tried CBD oil, and what did you think of it?
I’ve used cbd oil for a while, I have fibromyalgia and Ibs, going forward my lap soon to find out if I have endo too. Anyway I was suffering with anxiety a lot, I could never settle at night and my fidgeting was driving myself and my husband mad, my very first dose of cbd oil had me chilled out within half an hour, my husband was shocked & impressed, I’ve been using it ever since. I’m currently trying a new one twice daily too see if it helps the pain. I had a really bad day earlier this week so took some oil, it settled me enough to not be on edge with the pain if you get what I mean? I couldn’t consentrate and was distracted by the pain but after the oil I relaxed a bit which in turn I find helps the pain.
