Pain killers for endo?

Hi everyone,

Quick question, has anyone used cannabis patches to help them with endo pain? If yes, has it helped you?

If no, then what pain killer helps you?

I'm in a lot of pain, I have endo on both my ovaries, on my bladder and around my bowels. I can't eat properly, can't sleep much, can't sit, stand, walk for long.

Thank you

Sweety.

Hi I have just got out of hospital after having really bad pains and they suggested it could be endo. At the moment I ha e been given dihydrocodeine and maximum strength ibuprofen. They seem to be taking the edge off the pain.

Hope this helps.

Hi Megan,

Thank you for replying. I've already tried those pain Meds and didn't really work for me after a while.

I hope you feel better soon.

Hi,

I was maxed out on every single drug you could imagine and in the end they stopped working like with you and there was nothing else higher they could give me. Believe me, if I had the choice of cannabis patches I would have been extactic! But they're not offered in England, well I haven't heared of them anyways so instead I smoked cannabis to literally just deal with the pain as it was the ONLY thing that worked and I tried EVERYTHING. I hated the fact that I HAD to smoke it for my own sanity because it made me feel like a druggy and wish I would have had a healthier alternative like patches but now after my operation I haven't gone near the stuff. I would say try it out because if you're experiencing anything like I did it's not the worse thing right now and I hope it gives you the pain relief you need.

Best wishes xo

Hi Std_123,

Thanks for replying to me much appreciated.

I don't smoke and never have smoked in my life so I don't think I'll start now.

It's not fair that we can't get the cannabis patches here in the UK😔

I'm on morphine patches and don't really help much and they make me feel very constipated while wearing them. I'm in so much pain all the time I feel like I'm going crazy. I'm trying to keep myself busy with housework so I don't think about the pains.

I do feel like a druggy when people ask me what pain killer am I taking, I kinda feel like a bad person for wearing morphine patches.

Hi,

I'm really sorry to hear that you're in so much pain and I don't want you to think I was suggesting smoking cannabis as it's not for everyone, i'd never smoked it before either. You mentioned cannabis patches so I was saying try them where smoking it helped me. Sorry for the confusion, you must have meant your morphine patches. I honestly do not know what to suggest as I have been on everything the last thing I can think of would be Tramadol which worked for me until I was allergic to it, my Dr also perscribed me Amitryptiline which atleast let me sleep without waking constantly in pain which you could try. And don't you dare think you're a bad person because anyone who would think badly of you clearly has no idea what you're going through and therefore has NO right to say anything bad about you! I also heard your diet can make a difference with pain and green tea really helped with the constipation with me but don't go crazy with it because it will stop working (what's new) just 1 cup in the morning before anything else. Hang in there.

Best wishes xo

Hi,

That's okay, I've tried Amitrypiline and didn't work for me and Tramadol. I've tried every pain killer my GP can give me, it would work for a while and then it stops working. I've also tried loads of antibiotics to help get rid off chronic bladder infections which I have had for 4 years now.

I'm due to have a CT scan done of the bowels next month to see if they are stuck and if endo is there along with endo on my bladder and both my ovaries. I will then find out in November if I will have a operation.

How are you doing now?
