Hi all, this is my first post. I had a Laparoscopy Christmas 2016 and my Endo symptoms have only gotten worse since that day. I now bloat every other day. It is so uncomfortable and more often than not painful. I have a job where I have to wear a suit and it is super embarrassing to suddenly look pregnant from one meeting to the next. Has anyone else had this issue so long after surgery?
My Endo is wrapped around my bowels, they are deciding whether to do another surgery (I find out on Thursday :/ ).

I am seeing the surgeon tomorrow when they will tell me whether i will be having another surgery or just pain management (which means a lot of pills i imagine). slightly terrified.
Just wait and see, no point worrying about it before xx
Just a thought; how did they remove your endo? Excision is known to be the best at reducing the recurrence rate (remove all and some healthy tissue), if you've had that already then it may just have come back quickly, everyones different. If you had ablation (sanding) or laser (heat) that takes the top layers off and so it doesn't really go, and can come back quickly.
I had ablation as that's the only word I recognise! haha. I find it so hard to keep up with what the doctors say. Also, they only had a look around my uterus so they missed all of the endo around my bowels apparently. I have to say, it is amazing to be able to talk to people on this page about this. I don't know anyone else with endo and it's hard to explain to people what it actually is!
I know all the words are confusing, I had to ask my medical friends to translate my specialists notes!!
If you're considering more surgery you could ask about excision, its not usually done as the other options are quicker to carry out but it is shown to be better.
I know what you mean about no pattern. I thought it might flare up due to food but my diet is consistent and I will suddenly bloat after eating the same thing I had everyday that week and won't be able to shake the bloat for 2-3 days. I've just bought some Digestive Super Seeds tea from Heath & Heather (Holland & Barrett) so we shall we if that has any effect (peppermint tea doesn't).
Interesting. I might pick some up today. I take Aloe Vera pills each night before bed for the next day (again H&B). I know they help with movement but don't think they do much for bloating.
So I think it’s worth a go. Mine are from boots. I take them daily and I do think that they are making a bit of difference. The bloating still happens but I think it’s less painful... and possibly less frequent. I have been messing around with lots of different painkillers and hormone treatments as well as a lap since I started taking them so I have no clear idea of what’s driving each change! Most unhelpful!
Hi Roxi, I am feeling constantly bloated after 6 months of my laparoscopy. So I was wondering how are you feeling now? And how did you resolved your issues?
