I hate this bloating so much

i am having Prostrap injections every month (2 so far)

I was told the injections would help the Endo belly symptoms, I am normally this bloated for about two weeks of the month and usually can predict it nowit seems permanent!

Does anybody know if Prostap injections actually help or am I being fobbed off?

I am fed up of people asking if I am pregnant every other day

Please help

yes for Endo, I wanted surgery or a hysterectomy but apparently I’m not a suitable candidate for surgery (other health conditions means I am too hard work) The side effects of prostap are menopause symptoms mainly All I was given was a leaflet, and told that that it was basically my only choice; so I’m supposed to have one injection every month for three months after three months it goes to one injection every three months and so on That was my understanding xx

After my experience with injections I've now learned they're fobbing us off so they won't have to do surgery. Like you I'm constantly bloated and fed up with trying to hide my stomach. Why they won't do a laparscopy or hysterectomy I don't know. I wish you luck and hope you're luckier with the injections than I was. I had the worst time ever on them.

Thank you for your reply I’m not finding that they have helped at all yetI think I’m going to be more pushy and try and get surgery

Basicslly I have quite a complicated medical history and nobody likes to touch me in case I break so that’s why they won’t do surgery

Yes I understand that I come with more risks but they can’t just leave me in pain to suffer like this!

I literally have no clothes that I can wear anymore I just look so pregnant in everything

And find I’m having to explain myself to random strangers which is ridiculous

thank you for your reply I’m sorry that you’ve been suffering as well but it’s good to know that we’re not alone!

Feel free to send me a message if you want to rant xx

Hi, Sweet heart have you tried using charcoal items to absorb, bloating for us

ladies continues. Have used this injection in the past it depends

on why it was issued to you by Consulant, etc.

Known that too much, Causes vomiting, plus other side effects.

Ask an chemist near you ref the charcoal may not suit you but worth a

thinking about

Bye for now

Thsnks I hav’nt heard of charcoal for bloating i will look in to it xx

I had a really good experience with the injections, after the first month I had no pain, hardly any bloating at all. When I had my last one of a 6 month course it took 4/5 months to get back to normal pain levels and bloating. I've just started a second course while I wait for my next lap x

Hi try windeeze helps with bloating iv started them two weeks ,I was going to try the charcoal ones but they can make your poo black ,yes my consultant offered me postap injection to shrink the endo , adenymosis and fibroid cos having surgery is a risk with the organs but they have to take my ovaries out but meanwhile let's switch them off force me into menopause at age of 41 lol .If I refuse then they have to do surgery but unfortunately endometriosis still comes back can't be fully cured x

Hi, i really hope your bloating has calmed down and you are getting some relief, I totally feel you pain with the constant bloating and feeling uncomfortable it really takes it out of you.

I have just been prescribed the Prostrap injection and Tibolone HRT for the next 6 years!!! I am concerned about the amount of time they are wanting me to have this treatment for, I can't seem to find much on people having it past a 6 month dose and two the aide effects it comes with. I don't feel I was really given much option as they don't want to do a hysterectomy even though I am 44 and not planning on having a family, the consultant said that it is not guaranteed to work and may not get all the tissue whereas the injection will turn off my hormones stopping the endometriosis dead.

Has anyone on here had any good experiences with Prostrap and been on it long term?

I was also told I wasn't suitable for the tablet form of HRT by my doctor but my consultant has just handed them over without checking blood pressure, weight, and other medical history. I am so confused as to what to do.

I am pretty much exactly the same as you

I don’t feel comfortable taking HRT or hormones because I have epilepsy

I have basically been told that this is my only option to consider a hysterectomy for another 10 years they said

It is just very very frustrating isn’t it my bloating has only got worse with these injections

Xx

I am so sorry your bloating has got worse, its so uncomfortable and painful that you just want some break from it and if the treatment they give to make it worse its feels like nothing will help.

If we opt for a hysterectomy for medical reasons I don't see why we can't have one, this is our body and we understand how it effects us and how it reacts to medication but we have no say.

I have done further research into the HRT they have given me and its totally not suitable for me at all, I am going to ring my doctor on Monday and see if I can speak to someone else in relation to this, I know they aren't my consultant but he hasn't taken any of my medical history in to consideration.

How long have they said you will need to be on the Prostrap for if you don't mind me asking?

I have been taking a greens formula daily which has helped with my bloating its on the Lean App or website Lean with Lilly its called Siperfood Daily Greens it might be worth a try. I have mine with water and a dash of orange and pineapple cordial and its not too bad but it has really helped me, I still have bad days but not as many xx

Oh Prettythings 1,

This is you, I'd seen this pic before I started posting (you replied to my plea for help/advice). I'm crazy bloated but I can't stand up - I just have this mahoosive 5 month pre belly after just one jeffing week.

Did your swelling go down? I'm thinking that I'm going to push for surgery too - what they don't realise is the pain from swelling of this nature is just as bad as pre injection, for me it's worse.

I had Prostap to help the pain of endometrial ablation failure syndrome.

Best,

Kelly
