I am two weeks post Laparoscopic surgery . Endo was found and removed from my right ovary , pouch of Douglas and also my bowel was stuck so adhesions removed from that.
I am just wondering how long it took peoples bloating to go away as my stomach is swollen.
Pain wise post surgery was ok , I was up and moving pretty quick , had 1 week off work and then was back. I started my period 1 week after surgery and it’s not been too bad , pain wise it wasn’t any worse than usual.
The issue I have now is the incision in my belly button is really painful . It hurts to even touch the skin there but it only started hurting like this last few days. I was just wondering if people had experienced similar??

hey Emma, I’m just one week ahead of you and had pretty much the same done during the lap. The bloating for me had gone by week two, just about. But my belly button is still sore to touch now and at 2 weeks was quite tender. Mine got infected and I had to take antibiotics which helped but it is still sore sore now to touch. I think perhaps it’s one of the longest incisions to heal.
Hi Emma, I've had similar and am on week three, still bloated however, I also had a Mirena coil fitted and I know that can take a few weeks to settle in too. As Laura suggests, there may be a mild infection. A couple of my "dissolvable" stitches didn't dissolve and were really pinching so I had to get them removed by a nurse. Good luck
I'm on day 16, swelling has gone and although a little tender/ itchy my belly button incision is OK. What your describing sounds like an infection. Please call your gp!
