Bad periods after laparoscopy?

Hi everyone, I was on birth control for a few months, stopped in June 2020 and found that my periods had actually got better when I came off and was increasingly becoming better. My symptoms in general were better. Infact, one of them was completely pain free.

After my laparoscopy on 21st september 2020 in which no endometriosis was found, so nothing was actually done, my period pain is bad again. I’ve had 2 periods since and currently on my 2nd since the lap and I had lots of pelvic pain beforehand and pelvic pain 2 weeks prior and pain now I’m on the period. Also had brown discharge before for a day. The first period after the lap wasn’t too bad but not as good as the ones I had 3 months before the lap after coming off BC.

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it take for periods to settle again? Is it because my insides have been poked and prodded?
