Nearly 3 weeks post lap, adhesion to abdominal wall removed, no endo But I keep getting pain when I urinate every morning and discharge too. I used to get something like this back when all my problems started, thought it was an infection but everything came back clear and it eventually eased off but it’s very disappointing to feel like it’s all coming back after having my laproscopy. Just before my lap, everything had sort of eased down again and I felt a little bit more normal but when I got a date for the lap I didn’t want to risk things getting bad again so I just went for it. But now It’s like a pressure in my entire lower abdomen. Feels inflamed almost. Currently on antibiotics (fluxollicillin), does anyone know if this could be the reason as maybe it’s flushing out my system? I’m also getting pain in the middle of my lower abdomen every morning too, like around the bellybutton which i didn’t used to get before
Almost makes me regret it. It feels like I’ve gone back to square one.

I could be wrong but I thought when they use the term adhesions that is endo. The consultant got a bit huffy when I asked about the bit in the MRI. It was down as uterus pressing on bladder, I asked if it was ‘stuck’ with endo and he said adhesions.
Healing will be individual and it does depend on what they’ve done. Was it a specialist or general gynae?
It was an endo specialist who did it, he’s really experienced and that’s why I chose him. He’s one of the nancy nook ones too so I’m very confused about it cause lots of people tell me adhesions are endo but they didn’t find any and they looked everywhere. The only thing they did was clear an omental adhesion from the abdominal wall 😫
I’m sure they’d have checked everywhere. You could request a copy of your notes.
If it’s the antibiotics have you tried live yogurt or probiotic capsules. This will balance the gut, don’t take it at the same time as the antibiotics or they won’t work.
Totally normal, I experienced the same. Not only this but I also ended up in A&E with a UTI.
The pressure or ‘pulling’ sensation gradually subsided after about 4-6 months, I guess your still healing.
I rang the doctor on one occasion explaining it was awful, it felt like I’d been kicked inside and they gave me these ‘something or other beginning with m acid’ tablets? Didn’t do a blinking thing.
However, it did get better - it returns when I ovulate though so I went on the pill last year. Huge mistake! Resulted in me ending up in hospital with a blood clot.
For now, if your an excise bunny - try not to do too many ‘jumpy’ exercises and go for something like Pilates or cycling instead.
Hope that helps in some way to know your not alone.
this is what confuses me though, the fact they didn’t actually excise anything all they did was pull an omental adhesion to my abdominal wall apart, so that makes me question why i’m getting pain in other areas as i didn’t have any excision done but glad to hear it got better for you, hoping the same happens for me
