It's been a week since my laparoscopy and I have a burning sensation just around my vaginal opening. I'm unsure if this is normal after a laparoscopy or not.
I don't have any infections in that area so I know it's not that. I have vulvodynia (nerve damage to the vaginal area) and I'm not sure if it's this or if its just the healing after the laparoscopy. It comes and goes and it's weird how come it started exactly a week after the laparoscopy.
Anyone experienced anything similar?

I don’t have vulvudonia but I’ve heard it can be a very painful condition please remember though you may have had endo in that area your body takes some time to realise endo is not their anymore
I know for me I have nodules what feel like tiny bumps in that area almost like fatty scar tissue and the gynaecologist said that it’s endometriosis nodules I wouldn’t have thought it would be so close to the surface but it is right near my vagina opening
Wow, it's so incredible all the different ways endometriosis can present itself. I wouldn't have thought it could have done that either. Do they hurt? I hope you can get it sorted soon.
They don’t hurt I’ve njust feel like little scabs the one inside is quite big and hurts when I have sex I think I have two internally and he felt them on examination I went online and it said you can get skin endometriosis so I think it’s a bit like that it presents itself like on the skin in little scab things x
