Bruising after laparoscopy

Hi,

I’m 3 days post op, obviously some bruising after laparoscopy would be normal, but I seem to have excessive bruising in the centre of my stomach, also still very bloated. I had a laparoscopy 12 years ago and 2 c-sections since then and not had bruising like this.

Just wondered if others have had this?

If in doubt ask, it may be worth just checking in with the GP, however I was shocked after my lap with the amount of bruising that came out, pretty much my whole stomach turned black and blue, from my hips all across and down to my crotch. I hope your feeling better soon 💛

Thank you, sounds like it maybe completely normal then, but I’ll check with GP Monday x

Yes, I had terrible bruising when I had my lap done, but no bruising at all when I had my hysterectomy.

Thank you for your reply, it’s weird that major surgery can bruise less x

I'm 9 days post lap and still have deep bruising coming out. I think it must depend on what they do during the lap. This is definitely the most bruising I've had with one. I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Wishing you a speedy recovery 🙂
