Irregular periods after laparoscopy

Hi everyone! I had a laparoscopy and excision surgery in May and have had a fab reduction in my symptoms. I've attended my follow up appointment & felt really positive.

Since the appointment for follow up my periods have decided to come along every 3 weeks rather than every 4 weeks like they usually are. Is this normal? Is it my body just settling into a routine after the op?

As you can imagine, after it taking 8 years to get a diagnosis & treatment, then having such positive results post surgery I feel like I've taken a step backwards & I feel frustrated. It's only been my last two periods that this has happened with, so I am unsure whether to visit my GP again or not - particularly as it's likely to take months to get to see my gynae again (& by then things could have settled).

Any supportive words/advice/sharing of personal experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks x
