Post laparoscopy + Hysteroscopy

Hi all,

I had my first op on Wednesday. I had a cyst on my left ovary so they removed that but I also had endometriosis on my bowel, my urinary tract, abdominal wall and around my left ovary. My belly is so swollen and sore, passing urine was difficult but starting to get better, I am also really constipated.

Does anyone have any tips?

Jen

Hi Jen,

I had a lap at the beginning of August and I was like you very constipated. Things did get better when I had a laxative medication and it really helped, plus drinking plenty of water and eating a fiber rich food will help.

My belly was swollen for few days, and came back to normal. Having a peppermint tea will help with getting rid of the excessive gas.

Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you feel better soon.

Lots of fresh orange juice and a gentle massage around your stomach area helped me. Hope you are feeling fine x
