This is my first post so thanks for reading it! I feel like I need to speak this out.
So, I had laparoscopy a few months ago. The reason for this was that I had an ectopic pregnancy, and things turned out more severe than they thought so they removed my tube. This was the first time I've heard the term endometriosis and because the surgery was done due to the pregnancy they didn't touch the adhesions in my other tube. I'm still waiting on my MRI results to come back so hopefully we know a bit more where the endo lesions are in my body. However I am really struggling with the after effects of the surgery.
Before that I didn't have pelvic pain. I had pains and aches when my period started but now it happens every day without warning and sometimes I have to stop walking or doing normal things . I can't even sit down to have a wee without having cramps. Sorry for TMI.
I know I won't feel any better because obviously the problem is there inside but it wasn't this bad before surgery. I'm taking painkillers with little effect, having heat patches on but they don't help much.
It feels like I'm losing the quality of life. What should I do?

Hi, my journey is much different from yours as I am 75 years of age with an ovarian cyst measuring 9cmx5cm l am waiting on lap surgery where they are planning to take the cyst and both ovaries the second ovary is healthy but with my age they are doing this as a precaution. My next appointment is March 14th when l am to be placed on waiting list at Doncaster hospital.
I understand we are very different patients each from the other but if you would like someone to share your journey l am willing to chat when you need an ear. Stay safe and hope everything pans out well for you 🤗
That sounds like it could be adhesions both from before surgery and (unfortunately) can form after. I get this too. You can try to find a physio who can work on adhesions and pelvic pain, that’s the best I’ve been able to do. Plus very conscious how I sit, and lie in bed sorry if that’s not that helpful I know it feels frustrating and deflating xx
You need to get the full op notes from this surgery and go to your gp and get them to refer you onto a Gynae with special interest in endo. They will then look to treat you with more surgery but also remove any adhesions that were formed at your last op.
I am extremely sorry for your loss, Dorea and wish you strength as you grieve and heal from the physical trauma that you have also endured.
My main advice is to refer you to Instagram endometriosis pages. There are ones run by endo organisations and even more by other women who will help you navigate your health news, new symptoms and to better understand your health healing options. And to find comfort from other women who can identify with your situation.
Please advocate for yourself with medical health professionals. You deserve compassion, empathy, help and respect. If you don't get all of those from your doctor or gynaecologist please go to another.
I am hoping that your pains are just normal healing pains from nerves and perhaps even adhesions and post - surgery inflammation. Consider an anti - inflammatory diet, organic multivitamins, Epsom salt baths, magnesium spray and hot water bottles.
Also treat yourself to a calming crystal. Something like blue lace agate.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am getting prepared for diet change and already follow some endo related posts on social media. So strange that I haven't come across this illness before... but I guess this is another learning curve.
