Exercise after laparoscopy?

Had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago to get rid of endo (including endomitrinoma), surgery went well & recovery is too. I'm not fully 100% yet but am so bored sitting around doing nothing! Does anybody have any recommendations for exercise post op that isn't too strenuous on the abs? Is swimming any good?

I had mine about 3 weeks ago, I did a search on YouTube for post laparoscopy surgery yoga and there’s a series of videos on there designed for the first 12 weeks after surgery to gradually build back some of the muscles. The first few weeks are very gentle, for obv reasons. But I’ve found helpful, especially in dealing with some of the aches and pains from constantly lying on my back!

I was on a 2 year waiting list for initial referral to a gynaecologist(!), even though the GP had diagnosed the endomitrinoma on an ultrasound. Ended up starting a new job that very luckily had private insurance, but appreciate that's not available to everybody. Good luck with your surgery x

It’s so hard isn’t it, I haven’t had my op yet. January but I’m struggling to walk far or go yoga. I am moving to yoga nidras off insight timer to try and get to the other side. How long do you think it will take post op?!

Good luck for your op! I think gentle yoga sounds the way forward. Am gonna try the yoga on YouTube that's been suggested x

Thanks think gentle walking and yoga sounds the way forward! Just didn't think from what I read online that it would take so long to fully get back to where I was. But same as you, so relieved it's done! X

hi, could I ask if there were additional procedures listed on consent for your surgery? And did you undergo excision surgery?
