Had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago to get rid of endo (including endomitrinoma), surgery went well & recovery is too. I'm not fully 100% yet but am so bored sitting around doing nothing! Does anybody have any recommendations for exercise post op that isn't too strenuous on the abs? Is swimming any good?

Exercise after laparoscopy?
I had mine about 3 weeks ago, I did a search on YouTube for post laparoscopy surgery yoga and there’s a series of videos on there designed for the first 12 weeks after surgery to gradually build back some of the muscles. The first few weeks are very gentle, for obv reasons. But I’ve found helpful, especially in dealing with some of the aches and pains from constantly lying on my back!
hi how long do you wait for your laparoscopy by nhs?
It’s so hard isn’t it, I haven’t had my op yet. January but I’m struggling to walk far or go yoga. I am moving to yoga nidras off insight timer to try and get to the other side. How long do you think it will take post op?!
Hello well done for having the operation I had to wait 6 weeks but did gentle walking at about 4 weeks as I felt so well after
GoodLuck with full recovery I remember feeling so relieved it was over 🙏 x
Thanks think gentle walking and yoga sounds the way forward! Just didn't think from what I read online that it would take so long to fully get back to where I was. But same as you, so relieved it's done! X
hi, could I ask if there were additional procedures listed on consent for your surgery? And did you undergo excision surgery?
also congratulations on a successful surgery I hope it helps you live a better life!
