how long between ops

ill keep this short and sweet - I know I need another operation, and I am waiting until my endo clinic appointment to find out if they want to do it sooner or later. Soooo... I want to know if any of you have had operations quite close together and if so how close. First op was a diagnostic lap, the second one will be more in depth for removal of endo to separate my womb from my bowels (fun stuff I know). She (gyne) said it would all depend on my pain levels which at the moment are worsening by the day so anything could happen really!

I went through Bupa( have cover through work) but she mentioned going through NHS for next stage. Will let you know x

Hidden had my appointment this evening wasn’t the news I was hoping for I have deep infiltration endo. With rectovaginal desease 😢 need an MRI to see how bad and major op to remove with gynea bad bowel surgeon. She wants me under her NHS clinic as she trust the team she has there as the hospital is an endo specialist Centre x she didn’t give any timeframes, I tried to get her to say approx but she couldn’t say x she just said that having a MRI scan privately would speed things up once referred back through NHS x and will start looking into fertility stuff at the same time x sorry couldn’t get any clear answers for you xx

So for my surgeries (two along with diagnostic/removal of endo) I had one August 3rd for endo, one mid November for my gallbladder removal, then one mid December for endo/appendectomy. They were all abdominal surgeries so I’m assuming it doesn’t matter too much what they were exactly for?

Thanks for the response! Good to know that there isn't a waiting time in between! Will just have to see what my gyne says and then see what the waiting list is like at the time haha x

I had 3 close together - diagnostic at my local hospital in jan 16, then exploratory at my bsge centre in november 16 and excision in march 17.

I had diag surgery & ando removal 1 month apart. Healed fine but scars was cut 7 times but only 4 scars show
