Has anyone experienced this...?

Hello! So after a lap has anyone experienced a pulling tight sensation in and around the wounds? But 2 months after? Is it apart of healing or something not good?

It only started this last week and it's not a good feeling. But I have been a bit more active this last week so could that be it? I know it looks like a minor surgery on the outside but is a pretty intense surgery on the inside. Any help would be appreciated xx

I get strange sensations around my lap wounds. They seem to be more noticeable during period time. I've had two ops 2014 and 8 months ago. The incisions were in the same place for both with the exception of a new one below my ribs for my most recent surgery. That's the one that feels the strangest and often I can't lay on my left side because it is uncomfortable. I'm not worried about it though. I'm assuming it's the pulling of the layers underneath.

Interested if others get this too!

Yes, I've had that too and don't think it's anything to be concerned about. All part of the healing process I think. I had very major extensive endometriosis surgery and still felt the pulling sensation for months and months afterwards, think it's just everything knitting itself back together. It is disconcerting having small keyhole scars which heal quickly, but you must remember you've still had surgery and the body needs time to heal. Good keeping active though to encourage circulation, my surgeon was a big supporter of getting up and moving as soon as possible after all my laps, just know your limits, your body tells you when enough is enough I think! Good luck with your recovery x

Hi, I had this after my lap and I still get it now I am coming up to a year after surgery. My scars are still purple and sore my left side pulls more and my belly button. I am still unable to do any ab work at the gym because of the pulling. Can't offer any advice but just wanted to say you are not alone ! xx

I had my first lap two years ago and I still get a strange pulling sensation every now and again around the incisions on my left and right side. It tends to be around the time of my period and mainly on one side. Its not so much a pain but more of an uncomfortable feeling. For me the sensation has wore off gradually since my lap. Good luck with your recovery x

Ladies it sounds like you all are experiencing adhesions from the surgery. Which unfortunately is part of the process of surgery it is a pulling tight twisting sensation. It's just part of the healing process.

There's a lot about adhesions on line and there's certain massages that you can do to loosen them up. I can't confirm if they work because iv never done them. Iv only recently found out about them due to research of my own pain after a c section 3 years ago.

Have a look into it see if you can relate.

Hope this helps lovelys. 😊
