So I've had the mirena coil for over 3 years. But from about August last year I started having pains similar to what I would have during periods but with no bleeding. So they've been gradually getting worse and basically this month I've been getting a slight bleed for about 7 days. It stopped and since yesterday it's started again with the bleeding.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any idea what could be causong this?

This happened to me , my temperature rose dramatically and I was admitted to hospital with a severe womb infection cause by the body rejecting the coil , as soon as it was removed I felt so much better although I was still in hospital for a further 5 days on a drip of antibiotics, so please contact your doctor , I wish you well and a speedy recovery
My temperature was quite high but it seems to have settled itself. If it gets that bad I definitely will. Thank you!
I had the Mirena for 10 years with constant daily pain but no bleeding. It doesn’t work for everyone and I got told By my GP after 3 Years the amount of hormones that’s released starts to diminish.
Hi, thank you for your response. I think the hormones might be reducing and its scary because I need an Op to get it out - it can't be the GP and the hospital isn't doing any ops right now.
