No endo found, what happens now?

I had my laparoscopy today and they found no endo. The found a polyp and removed that and inserted a mirena coil.

Has anyone had the same? What will happen now?

Hi Tanyaannh!

Hope you're feeling well after the lap and are getting some down time. There are several posts regarding this issue. If no one reaches out (some posts get lost among the others in the forum) you can try a search with your key words to see the discussions.

Best of luck x

Hi, I had my 1st lap on Tuesday & they didn't find any endo either. I have a small fibroid & he also found and drained an ovarian cyst & inserted a mirena coil. I feel we are very lucky if we don't have endo, hoping that the cyst was causing my problems and that this coil does wonders for us both. How are you feeling? I am still taking it easy, but a lot more mobile today and pain seems to have subsided. xx

Last night was awful, i was in tears with the pain down my right side from my shoulder down to my hip. Today I'm feeling okish apart from tired from not sleeping last night. I started getting mobile last night, my problem is i can't sit still lol x

Hi

I hope that your recovering from your laparoscopy and having plenty of rest I was the same it's great that no endometriosis was found I already had the coil before my laparoscopy it really depends on your symptoms the coil certainly helps with the bleeding but for me it doesn't help the pain it can also take up to six months to settle. The consultant that I saw said my only other option was to go to a pain clinic which I'm going to next month. The only thing I would ask is if you were seen at a specialist centre (a lot of people that go under a general gyni are later found to have endometriosis I don't want to alarm you)but I think everyone should be aware of this.Look for posts by lindle (she is so helpful )all the best.

The gyne i saw was a specialist one which deals with endo mainly

The one I saw was just an NHS one but he said he was an endo specialist, he did say-he was doing a biopsy and sending something away, he did drain my cyst, so maybe I will hear later I do have it??? I am the same , find it hard to sit still for 2 minutes, but I think it is important to heal (have just been outside to put all my stuff in my new car that was delivered day before yesterday & even drove it out of parking space & around car park then parked it again, but am now very sore so have got back into bed!

Yeah, the day after my operation i was tidying my room and then this morning cleaned my kitchen and front room and now I'm in a lot of pain. 😔

It is so frustrating, but every day I am able to do more than the day before.I am on day 5 now, hoping by day 7 I can actually leave the house & maybe go for a short drive and (little walk?) I still feel quite spacey as well, is that normal? Not taking any painkillers (or maybe just 2 paracetamol a day) Beginning to feel really guilty having times up in my bed in the day,but I need it.

I feel really spaced out and I'm on day two after the op. I've been out for a little walk and done far too much that I'm not in a lot of pain and probably done more bad then good. I've been taking co-codamol x
