Just a bit of background info first, I'm 21 and have suffered with gynae problems since being 15. First with the diagnosis of pelvic congestion syndrome at 17 (after my first lap), to finally being diagnosed with endometriosis at 20 (after my second lap).
I have tried every contraceptive pill, the depo injection, the mirena coil (5 times) and had one lap to remove the endo and adhesions. Each only giving me some relief for a short period of time. I decided to go hormone free for a while to see how my body worked on its own (because it had been so long). Now I have stopped having periods so I am currently undergoing tests for PCOS.
Due to my pain increasing the past few weeks my consultant is very persistent on me having the GnRH injections (zoladex), but I am very skeptical. I am a student nurse and having time off is really difficult.
Can anyone offer me any advice on the injections or any pain relief that works for them?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi. Sorry you've had such a rough time. Im just finishing my first course of Zoladex, and honestly i think its been fine. I have no pain at all, maybe the odd twitch but nothing compared to the endo pain. The worst bit is it can be uncomfortable having the injection, and it does leave a nice bruise, but personally i think it has been worth it.
Thank you LittleJo30, for taking the time to reply. I am glad the treatment is working for you, it's nice to hear!
If you don't mind me asking what are the next steps for you, my consultant has told me if the injections work for me, I can carry on with them for how ever long I need, but I have read on here that it's 6 months worth in a life time, due to side effects..
